Deck Description

This is deck is made within the rules of Special Standard, a new playgroup format that opens up more areas of play for all! The rules are simple; first, every block ever made (in this case it was all blocks legal in modern) are put into a hat, shaken about and then two are drawn. The process is the repeated with Editions and Core sets. Then all players are tasked with building decks using cards only from these sets. This leads to the creation of fun deck archetypes that never existed before hand!

Recommendation: Do not put in the first mirrodin block unless you want to ban all cards with affinity in your playgroup; also, active ban lists should be maintained.

Special Standard: Shards of Alara, Scars of Mirrodin, M13 and M10
This is a G/W infect-control deck; to play, keep your opponents in lockdown with cards like Silence, Oblivion Ring and Norn's Annex, while ramping with Knight of the White Orchid and Birds of Paradise. To finish the game, buff up a infect creature, cast triumph of the hordes, or use Melira to make Phyrexian Hydra an unstoppable force. Inkmoth Nexus and Hero of Bladehold will help move the game along, and Glistener Elf will help stall if you need to. The Sideboard is built for faster games, and in case your opponent has anti-infect things.
