Use Elvish Mystic as a mana ramp trying to build up to the big dogs. Sporemound gets you lots of 1/1's, Howl of the Night Pack ideally gets you 4+ 2/2's, and Trostani's Summoner gets you a bunch of guys. Meanwhile, keep populating, and then protect your tokens with Emmara Tandris.
