This deck is way to slow to be competitive, bud. I see what you are trying to do, but ... it can all be done cheaper and faster with other combos. An artifact heavy deck with Throne of Geth and Ichor Rats(Hand of the Praetors dishes out poison counters, infects their creatures and proliferates it all. This deck will hardly ever become viable. Sorry. :(

I'd replace the Unholy Strength with Virulent Swipe and/or Demonic Appetite. Make it HURT.

The bomb: Basilisk Collar & Cunning Sparkmage. You'll love it.

Okay, let's establish something here:

Go for the Throat is a sideboard card. It's a creature killer against black. Doom Blade kills artifact creatures, too. In the Mirrodin Block, Doom Blade is stronger. Go for the Throat is the bomb in Extended/Limited, but in Standard, it is a sideboard card. Just because it's Uncommon doesn't mean it has to be mainboard over Doom Blade. No, you replace Doom Blades with GftT if you play against a black deck. That's it. Otherwise, Doom Blade will serve you better - because it can kill artifacts.

Moving right along; you over compensate, seemingly. A 4-of is not always needed. Here are some switcheroo suggestions:

-2 Mirrorworks (It slows you down)
-2 Corrupted Conscience (It's too conditional and expensive to be mainboard)
-1 Everflowing Chalice (3 do the trick)
-4 Go for the Throat (see above)
-1 Plague Myr
-3 Ichor Rats
-1 Inexorable Tide
-1 Island

+3 Ichorclaw Myr (He is the bomb as an attacker.)
+3 Doom Blade (see above)
+3 Septic Rats (beat Ichor Rats for the same CMC)
+2 Into the Roil (bounce/card draw)

Sideboard:
3x Flashfreeze (2 mana counter vs. green/red)
3x Go for the Throat (see above why)
3x Consume the Meek OR Black Sun's Zenith (clears the board against Weenie)
3x Elixir of Imortality (Lifegain / reverts Milling)
3x Nemesis Trap (vs. White. Quite the nifty card.)

Hope this helps! :)

Take out the Galavanic Blast, Soul Parry and Revokes, add 3 Kazuul Warlords, 3 Journey to Nowhere, 3 Ondu Cleric and 3 Join the Ranks. Replace 2 Mountains, 2 Plains with 4 Arid Mesa. That should help a great deal.

Sideboard:
3x Revoke
3x Elixir of Immortality
3x Crush
3x Condemn / Oust
3x Pyroclasm / Slagstorm

Hope this helps!

Replace the Accorder's Shield with Ornithopters or at least Spidersilk Nets. :)
Hero of Bladehold is too slow (turn 5 action) and too expensive for what you are doing. Stock up on Bolts.

Hope this helps!

Hey there! :)

Here are some thoughts on the Boros/Quest deck.

1.) QfthR lurves zero drops. Memnites are decent, but you could add 4 Ornithopters (Roflcopters, as I like to call 'em), too. That should accelerate your Quest counters.

2.) The Glint Hawk obviously pings the zero drop creatures, and serves as a flying chumper. How about you make him a 3-of, same with the Guide and the Outfitter, so you have the room for 3 Roflcopters?

3.) Silence sounds like Sideboard. Flame Slash sounds like it wants to be Lightning Bolt for more versatility. 3-of should be fine. Assault Strobe, mhmm. 3-of, too? And with the 4 cards space, put in one more Emerge Unscathed and add 3 Adventuring Gear to maximize on your Landfall - and make the doublestriking Gaveleer the. Bomb. Diggity.

Hope this helps! :)

Oh, fishies ... I was splooged more than once by them. Eventually, I got the upper hand and put them back in the pond, but they learned new tricks - splashed white, walked the plains.

Here are some suggestions w/o splashing White:

Instead of Cancel, look into Stoic Rebuttal (Same CMC, but with Metalcraft it's 1 colorless less) or Deprive (Counters for UU, but bounces one of your lands back. Say, Halimar Depths. :D). Also, I'd get some more Counter love in - the Fishies have the Lullmage Mentor, that a) gives you more Fishies and b) counters stuff if you have enough Fishes.

Coralhelm Commander seems to be a must-have for you. The Tricksters, then again, seem odd. You don't really have any abilities that make your opponent search his library, so ... sideboard? Souverign is a no-brainer. Thada, though, is a sideboard card, again. Ideally, you can deal with artifacts via your counters. The Enclave Elite seems odd, but with Chalices you should be able to cast 'em with ~3 counters no problem. The Treasure Mage obv. looks for the overly expensive artifacts, but without anything accelerating your Mana, those will be dead cards in your hands. Cut them, along with the Mage and fill up on the stuff mentioned, err ... above and below, I guess. :D

Your artifact choices seem odd, again. Where's the Everflowing Chalice? :D Grand Architect has a secret afair with that dirty girl. And while we are at it, how about Contagion Engine? Throw the Equipment away, and get some dirtyness in there.

Fill up on Counters (Mana Leak, Negate, Flash Freez for the Sideboard) and Bounces (Into the Roil, Unsummon) and you should be good. Review if you really need 25 lands. Seems excessive, considering your Mana curve.

Hope this helps, good sir.

On that note, if you want to leave me some comments on some of my decks, I would be glad. Maybe you take a look at my white Allies deck, as it is a "themed" deck, too. :D

I would get more Signal Pests over the Wardrivers. Their quasi-flying makes 'em harder to take out in creature combat, ensuring constant Crying. Also, the Wardrivers are CC, making them harder to cast. I'd get the Pests up to 4, take out all Wardrivers and put in another Goblin Guide or Ruin Ghost.

As for the Sideboard, better be on the safe side, and get one more Revoke over one Burn the Impure. Artifacts can cause trouble, and with that much Darksteel around, Exile trumps Damage/Destroy.

I'd love some comments on my decks, too, if possible. Specifically, my own Landfall deck. :D

I'm just looking at this and keep thinking about 2 cards: Turntimber Ranger and Harabaz Druid. That's Wolves and Mana right there. :D

Hey there,

I like that you got into Magic and immediately chose a mechanic like Proliferate to go with. Shows some ambition! Yet, Proliferate is ... iffy. In the end, you want to wind the game by killing your opponent, but how can Proliferate help you with that? Proliferate does a lot of things - it adds counters on creatures (killing them in the case of -1/-1 or boosting them in case of +1/+1 counters), permanents (Planeswalkers, Artifacts, Quests...) or players (Poison).

Now, I would advise you to "streamline" this deck. Try to get 60 cards in your deck, and if you ever want to play this deck in a sanctioned environment (Friday Night Magic?), your sideboard needs to be exactly 15 cards.

First of all, decide what you want to proliferate. It looks like you want to go Poison. I like. Thrummingbird, in that case, should be a 4-of, just like the Plague Stingers. The Ichor Rats I would replace with the Septic Rats. They give you a 3/3 for 3 with Infect, whereas the Ichor Rats are 2/1 for 3 that poison you aswell. That might blow against other Infect decks - and the creature is weaker, too.

As for you Contagion Machines, how about you make it 4 Clasps and 2 Engines? That reduces your mana curve (basically, the indicator how much mana your deck needs ...) and allows you to use the Clasps as spot removal against pesky */1 or */2 creatures.

Corrupted Conscience is iffy - it is, first of all, expensive. And you never know what you might get - a lot of players that have big gnarly beasts protect them, and those that don't often have just puny small creatures that combo - 5 Mana is a huge chunk. How about you look at more Poison instead? Virulent Wound is friend, as it gives a creature a -1/-1 counter, and if it dies that turn, it's controller gets a Poison counter! With that much proliferation going on, you should be able to put a hurtin' on a lot of bigger beasts. */4 Creature - Virulent Wound, Thrumming Bird attacks and hits, Contagion Engine activates - bamm. The 4/4 is dead and your enemy has +4 Poison counters. :)

The Trigon of Corruption I would replace with Plague Myr (Mana Acceleration and/or Infect), as the Trigons happen to be quite slow and conditional. Also, the Plague Myr can be copied with the Mirrorworks, for more infect creatures on the board.

If you can, try to acquire some dual lands. 2x Darkslick Shore, 2x Drowned Catacomb, 2x Creeping Tarpit sounds like a splendid idea. 2x Jwar Isle Refuge, if you feel like it. That should make sure that you avoid colour screw.

Hope this helps!

On a side note, I would appreciate some comments on my Red/Black Allies deck. :)

I like this deck alot, it seems as if the combo is to fragile to land destruction. I would add one Coral Atoll to the deck, so you can work with only one land. Hope this helps!

In other news, I would like some comments on my Green Landfall/Ramp/Trample (I call it Trampfall...) deck. :D

I would reduce it to two Rebirths and rather have three DoJs. It just seems smarter ti have the clean-up earlier or Mana left to cast stuff when it comes late. I see it's fuel for shape anew, but ... Not of this World is decent. Sounds like a 3-of to me, ensuring you draw it when the Hate Machine is out. Maybe up your land rate a bit. And, yeah, like we discussed: You need 4 Emerges.

You have a problem, though. You either bring Condemn/Oust/Journey To Nowhere and more unconditional Countermagic to the board, or your opponent will pummel you while you are defenseless. I agree with your earlier assessment that you do need some cheap chumpers ...

Don't get the Kiln Fiend. Would rather see more Kuldotha Fodder (+2) and one more Bushwhacker. Koth seems still off/odd, but I see what he's doing there. Rather see 1x Bolt & Blaze, though.
