You want to kill enemy creatures with victim of night and/or lightning bolts until you have gotten a carrion feeder or blodflow connoisseur onto the playing field. However you can still cast blind with anger, grab the reins, and morphing a jeering instigator as combat tricks during the early game. Simply put if you are attacked by 2+ creatures, just take control of 1 of them during declare blockers step and make them kill eachother. Bonus points if you have a carrion feeder or blodflow connoisseur out, since you can take control of the strongest of them, have it kill the opposing creature and then sacrifice it to them.Remember, ideally you should be able to attack each combat, since you can just control an enemy creature and sacrifice it afterwards, making the enemy board look rather empty.It should also be noted that you should not be afraid of losing life the first few turns while you set up, life is, after all, just another ressource to be used. If you don't think like that, why are you even playing black in the first the place?
