Deck Description

U/W tron deck that uses the gift package to get some unfair wins and overall an amazing tutor package. Deck can also run the mindslaver lock by swapping a few cards. However testing out the eye of ugin package. Might drop for mindslaver lock. Also this deck is relatively cheap even for modern. The R/G tron version is double the price of this entire deck. Especially if you choose to run the mindslaver lock instead.

How to Play

This deck can win on turn 4 against some decks by tutoring for rites+iona and completely lockdown a deck. Other than that it's a stall deck that allows you to beat other decks with a devestating late game. Gifts ungiven is the best card in the deck that allows you to win on the spot easily. In addition the sideboard lets this deck be one of the few decks that easily wins most combo decks as well as beating most aggro decks. Jund it's worse matchup lost deathrite shaman which ruined our gifts package.

Deck discussion for u/w tron

How about adding one or two black mana sources to be able to hardcast Unburial Rites?
If it ends up in your hand the only option to play it is by discarding it with Thirst for Knowledge.

Originally this deck did run a godless shrine or some signets for the splash but that didn't work out well. If you draw it it's just something you have to deal with. And you can always discard it anyway. The chances of drawing it are low since it's one of the first things you gifts for anyway. Adding black mana messes with the consistency of this deck.

Apparently a deck similar to mine difference of about 2-3 cards made top 16 so I did a few changes based on that list and have updated my deck. Wurmcoil replaced Ulamog. I am not completely sold on the karn I think oblivion ring might be better but I will test it out and see. Karn can win the game by himself so there is that.
