Plot:

It was just another day for Sassans, slithering his way through the murky waters of the Opulent Palace his small group of Broodmates resided in. There was nothing out of place, the underlings were all slaving away, the Rakshasa were pleased by the tributes, and the other khans had yet to find out their presence. All was well, Sassans had even found a nice frog to nibble on as he made his way across their territory. All was well until he discovered deeper waters. Until now, the waters only went so far, and to find a sudden drop in them was surprising to Sassans. He knew that if he didn't report it, he would be whipped surely by the Soothsayer. So, he begrudgingly slithered his way down the new waters, through ruinous parts of the palace yet to be made more homely for the naga. He kept slithering until he saw an odd glow, traveling closer and closer to it as he careful made his way through the water. When he finally reached the glowing area, he found something that made his jaw drop, and he rushed back to his superiors. Wait until they find out what I discovered! Sassans gleefully thought as he raced home.

A few hours later, the Naga had returned to the Waygate that Sassans had found, examining it carefully for anything deadly or harmful. After a few days, they decided the only way to make sure was to test it. They decreed that Sassans would go, and after a few hours, they almost gave up on him, when he returned with strange plants and a few corpses of strange beasts. He told his superiors of a wild land with huge creatures, beautiful plants, and flowing magical power beyond imagination.

A few days later, Sassans found himself in a group of servants led by the Soothsayer, Yassina. They were going to make there way through the Waygate and claim the land in the name of the Sultai Brood, and then begin the process of renovating it for the Sidisi, who was personally making an appearance to witness this great accomplishment. As they made their way through, they were greeted by a company of elves, humans, strange cat people, similar to the Rakshasa, but more tribal in nature. Yassina sent Sassans forward to greet the new slaves. Sassans greeted the savages arrogantly with, "Welcome to the new Brood Lands, my fine folk. Have you come to drop on your hands and knees in servitude?"

A human woman stepped forward and simply stated, "Get out of our lands, NOW!!"

Sassans laughed and raised his weapon. As he did, the ground shook, and a large beast stepped from out of the trees, growling at the Brood. Sassans looked at his leader for advice. Yassina laughed and begun a summoning spell for reinforcements, simply saying, "Kill them all."

How to Play

This duel is a race, pure and simple. Both decks need a bit of time to build up resources, and for you, this means filling your grave with whatever you can. The Sultai specialize in the Delve ability, which uses cards from the grave to fuel their sinister spells and abilities. Early game, cards like taigam Scheming and Sultai Skullkeeper will fill up your graves with plenty of fresh cards ready for exiling! During mid-game, you'll notice the Naya deck beginning to bring out the 5 power or higher creatures, which is their strategy's whole core! To try and disrupt this summoning, use cards that force them to discard or your counter spells, Rakshasa's Disdain and Disdainful Stroke, to eliminate the problem before it happens. Most of your delve cards are meant for controlling these threats, so try and use them wisely on those big beasts to carefully blunt Naya's assault. Your winning cards are Necropolis Fiend, Rakshasa Deathdealer, and Skaab Goliath, so be sure and try to keep them alive so they can punish Naya for not being able to get up those big creatures that you deny constantly. It'll be a hard fight, but as long as you play your cards wisely, and keep punishing Naya every chance you get, you'll constrict the Naya fools to death!
