Deck Description

Is EDH too expensive for you? Wanna play a fun deck that doesn't cost a fortune? Then allow me to introduce you to....Poor Man's EDH. For under $75 you can own a cool, powerful, and fun EDH deck that isn't too limited. This time, we revisit Zombies with a flower on top. That's right folks, it's Golgari Zombies and they pack a punch! It's all about power in life and death in this relentess assault from the grave!

How to Play

Green and Black are colors that have a bit of a history. For starters, Green is about growth and life, while black is all about power and death. So, when Skullbriar first walked the planes, the Planes knew that they were in for a scream. And now, with an army of death moaning and groaning behind Skullbriar, the world shall fall to the Walking Grave! If you missed out on the Grave Danger deck, allow me to recap Zombies in a nutshell. The strength of zombies comes from raw power and beyond the deadly abilities. Cards like Noxoius Ghoul choke the life out of the living's lungs by just showing up, and cards like Unbreathing Horde gain strength for all zombies on the field and in the grave. The living dead sure bring a ruthless strategy to the field, with all sorts of nasty abilities to ruin your opponents' plans.

One thing to remember is that the dead work best together. There are plenty of zombies that either enhance other zombies, but work better with other zombies too! One of the biggest names in this deck is Ghastly Remains. He's essential a BBB mana 0/0, which sounds pretty bad. But, when you play him, you can reveal any number of zombies in hand to amplify him! That means if you have 6 zombies in hand, you can reveal all of them for a 6/6 for 3 mana! The best part is that if Remains are in the grave, you can simply pay BBB and put him right back in your hand waiting for another big drop and amplify! Ghastly Remains has a few friends too. The previously mention Unbreathing Horde gets power and toughness for each zombie on field and in grave, and when he takes damage, he loses a 1/1 counter. This means that if you had a 10/10 Horde, can take 10 hits from anything! That's insane power!

The best always comes last, and this special deck has a very special commander. Skullbriar is a 2 mana 1/1 that gets +1/+1 counters whenever he hits an opponent. The scary part is that he keeps them in the Command Zone! So if you get Skullbriar up to 7 counters, he comes back as a 4 mana 8/8! Skullbriar's relentless aggression is something to be feared, especially when combined with Death's Presence. If another Zombies dies with this enchantment out, it puts +1/+1 counters on a creatur you control. And how better than Skullbriar?!? Now that you've witnessed the destructive might of the Walking Grave, let's march on over to a battlefield and do some damage!
