Deck Description

Do you want to play Commander but don't want to spend hundreds on a deck? So you like sacrifice shenanigans? Are the the type of player who will totally go infinite on a budget? Does power matter to you? How does a 3 mana 9 power beater with trample that can get massive sound to you? Do you enjoy drawing huge stacks of cards? Do you want a deck you can upgrade with Thought Vessel and Reliquary Tower and actually get value out of them? The Dark Justicar has requested your presence, and now she wants to team up with you! This elvish legend is honestly incredibly powerful, and apparently she cooks some damn good food. So, why not bring some true power to your budget Commander tables? Who says budget decks can't be strong? Certainly not you, so let's show the world why Golgari is so strong and why price doesn't matter.

How to Play

Let me be straightforward: this deck is dumb. It has infinite combo, infinite reanimate, the ability to steal entire graveyards and swing out for game, ridiculously powerful beaters, strong removal, and some of the most jank creatures you've ever seen. Once your opponents see it in action once, you might be public enemy number one. If your table doesn't like infinite combo, you probably shouldn't take this out.

For those who want the power, let me explain. Shadowheart herself isn't an infinite machine, but she is incredible. For 2 mana she can draw you silly amounts of cards thanks to massive spread out high power creatures. To make things crazier, Master Chef makes them all even bigger. This background is also how we flat out go infinite. Thanks to persist, Master Chef creates infinite sacrifice triggers with a creature like Varolz or Viscera Seer, and a creature like Vindicative Vampire is a finisher thanks to this combo. Or, you can essentially Armageddon with Woodfall Primus, or steal every grave with Puppeteer Clique. So yeah, we can do dumb things.

To make matters worse, we don't even need the infinites. We have cards like Yargle and Pridemalkin to create huge beaters that go ham. We have Managorger Hydra that can hijack games by going BEEG MODE and exterminating life totals or huge swathes of creatures in one swing. Our massive power creatures really can go on the offensive and just force opponents into difficult positions. So, to sum it up, you have huge card draw potential on top of big power aggro and the ability to combo off and win out of nowhere.
