Deck Description

My take on the r/g landfall deck.
Feel free to criticize everything or like and comment.

How to Play

So basically this Deck plays around landfall.
Ideally it would go like this:
Turn 1: forest + jaguar
Turn 2: makindi sliderunner after fetching for red, swing for 3
Turn 3: drop fetch, attack with both, atarka's command and drop another fetch and 3dmg to the face, fetch 2 for temur battlerage and target makindi (6/5 trample at this point) dealing a total of 20 dmg in turn 3.
From turn 4 on it's topdeck time.
Nissa, and champion are the back up plan, sword of the animist and slab hammer(<3) for landfall and the retreat to get your beasties through even in the late game.

The sideboard
For game two board lifegain in jaddi offshoot and the retreat against burn and radiant flames against atarka wins. Versus Abzan and control I would change to Naya playing 3 stance and dromokas command to kill their threats, enchantments and make them weep with champion hammer and retreat as well as sooner or later animist's awakening and spire.
Against anything black or blue i'd board display of dominance as it deals with jace and ob nixilis really well and saves my creatures from a ruinous path.

The deck is now finished and i will update it once i was at my local fmn ;)

Deck discussion for Landfall R/G [BFZ]

Im liking it and the small landfall creatures easily made big is great, the only things im not completely sure about are radiant flames, seeing as how your only running 2 colors it doesn't reach its full power, it's also not too great because your creatures are naturally small, its also a sorcery so you have to spend the mana that you should be saving for things like atarka's command to beef up scythe leopard on turn 2, and on turn 4 or 5 you could easily just kill them with a mix of leopard, artakas command and temur battle rage, so i think it would be better to go down that route instead, things like Omnath arn't gonna be too useful because they take too long to cast and you want to blow them up extremely early so that even if they do recover from leopard they will have to play at the disadvantage of almost no health against a red deck, so all in all, you just need to cut the big creatures or sideboard them and add more low mana removal, fiery impulse, wild slash, etc

you're right, i do like my one off omnath though ;D
i changed it around a bit and , took out the birds, one omnath and a champion, as well as the sylvan scryings.
i added the gnarlids, the animist's awakening(killer thing) and 1 temur battlerage (finally realizing that it gives trample too, reading the cards helps so much :D)
about he SB i get why radiant flames sucks for my deck, but against a red deck with maybe impact tremors and dragonfodder i would rather have something to wipe their board, small spot removal just won't do it as i can't afford to take anything else out of the deck.
any tips are welcome ;)

This is awesome, trying to make something almost identical. I am a landfall noob. Though, I was wondering if it would be beneficial to add an Abbot of Keral Keep? Since the odds are in your favor of playing another land, though, I realize it could not be played at instant speed. Thoughts?

Abbot is super strong, but same as with courser of kruphix,it only offers the possibility of playing the card, not supersede the "one land per turn rule" also he doesn't have landfall but he might be worth looking into just for the card advantage. I'll tinker with it.
I'm glad you like the deck,it's still a work in progress which will change some more once I have it in rl and can start testing :)

Nice Deck.
But I wonder why you play 1 Looming Spires only? Especially as you play a Sledge Hammer I think a Looming Spires is the land you want to bounce, to play it with Atarka's Command right after. Giving Atarka's Command the possibility to add First Strike sounds very strong to me.

On the other hand you could cut one or two Temur Battle Rage. I think they are a nice finisher, but you really don't want to keep two of them in your hand while you could have something like Become Immense or Swell of Growth.

And you could think about replacing Valakut Predator with Grove Rumbler as he brings Trample with himself.

And maybe you want to edit your "How to play" equal to your card changes. ;)

Thanks i totally forgot the section ;)
The rumbler is a good addition and playing the rumbler incentiveses to cut a temur battlerage, but as it is, i want to have temur battle rage as a possible t3 kill with either gnarlid or sliderunner. Swell of growth i tried, but in the few games i played so far i would almost always rather have a battle rage than a groundswell in hand as i run out of "in hand lands" really quickly due to atarka's. I onl have on spire in the deck as it just slows you down to much, if you have a tapped land turn one or two, the whole appeal of a speedy deck kinda goes to the winds. I thought about playing more once i cut sylvan scrying but i think a one of is enough for now, I will report again on friday once i chewed through the decks of my local fnm ;)
