Deck discussion for Mana of Blighsteels Emperor

dude i did a little simulation and i seriously think you would do better results with 4 omnaths rather than 4 slagstorms and running mono green

What do mean emty from your mana pool?

When you go from phase to phase, mana normally empties from your pool, putting you back to 0. The same thing happens every time you go from a phase of your turn or your opponents turn to another phase. This also happens when the turn gets passed.

If you have an Omnath in play, all of that green mana stays in your pool, unless you cast a spell with it. Aka, at the end of your opponents turn, tap all your sources for green, leave it in the pool, and use it for later.

So, Overflowing Chalice and Comtagion Clasp is a main key to summon Blightsteels :D
But, I don't understand how Overgrown Battlement and Summoning Trap works on your deck?

Why Overgrown Batt? why not bird of paradise or something?

whose gonna block with a bird of paradise?

the man needs some kind of protection in here. 4 clasps arnt enough, so the batt serves as cannon fodder for the time being, although i will say, this deck needs a little more control, perhaps vines of vastwood. BoP in mono green is useless when theirs llanowar elves, unless ur that worried about blocking fliers which in that case, like i said before, whose gonna block with a BoP?

with that said, this deck looks decent. i think 3 omnaths are a little too much though, 2s fine. get rid of explore, and toss in harrow. get the green titan in here, and get rid of the spheres of the suns, and put in something more in the control department.

Overgrown give very much mana. If you have to out it give 2 green mana alone! The everflowing is good because i play it later and profilerate with contagion. With summoning i can play the blightsteel with out paying mana!

Just a quistion. Are the omnath to attack, so i can win if i dont get blightsteel? Or its just for block? Or its just for the effect?

If there's no deathtouch on the board, there's no reason not to attack, as long as the counter attack isn't going to kill you. He'll basically eat a blocker every time he attacks, especially if his power gets over 20. It can act as both mana ramp into Blightsteel or a win condition all his own.

The deck would be much better if you stick in some elvish piper and Fauna Shaman then there is a garrenteed blightsteel

Elves have the highest mana ramp bar none. Arbor Elves + Llanowar + Elvish Archdruid and Joraga Treespeaker = 12+ mana by turn 4 pretty easily. Drop 2 contagion clasp for 2 Kuldotha Forgemaster, all you need is two other artifacts on the field and BAM. Blightsteel from the deck. With the Myrs and Chalices, it shouldnt be hard at all.

take out the overgrown battlement and put in 4 lanowar elves! if jorga has full counters lanowar elves can produce 2 mana but overgrown battlement can't. plus the lanowar elves costs less

Screw Primeval Titan that would really only work in a Landfall deck, take out the Khalni Garden for some Rootbound Crag, take out on Jorga and one Overgrown Embattlement and add two Battle Rampart (works with Overgrown and gives Blight haste which is much needed). Would work vey well with the symmetry.

assuming you can ramp enought turn four and swing for game, or seriously cripple your opponent.

as far more control like you asked previously, I'd use tumble magnet very handy especially with you already using proliferate.

May i suggest Lead the Stampede for another way to search for him?

swap the BoP for llanowar elves, you're running monogreen and the elves add two with joraga

Have you tried Lotus Cobra and Harrow? I agree too that Lead the Stampede, at least one copy, would be pretty useful in here in place of a Cultivate.

I'll be very honest with you, this deck isn't going to do you any good when you have decks that put out Kuldotha Forgemaster on turn 3 than turn 4 sacrafice 3 artifacts for Blightsteel turn 5 swing Blightsteel...

0

Without the kuldotha, i too can get it out in turn 5, and its not sure i get the blightsteel put with the kuldotha, because its hard to get 3 artifacts out in turn 4. For me

how are u going to proliferate everflowing chalice?

0

it works but you are basing it off one card and that is hard to get 1 out of 4 of them with summoning trap.
