Deck Description

At the local gaming store, we have a few people that comes down with rogue decks that are just evil(and I mean really, really evil) and then we have netdeckers(Some are bad, some are good)... so I thought, "hey, why not build a deck that people know but don't remember", so I put together this Human midrange deck.

I like the concept with flashing in a 3/3 Lifelinker that boosts all the other humans with +1/+1 and Lifelink until end of turn and took my time to put together my own idea on how the deck functions and it turned out pretty good! :D

I normally don't play Standard that often unless there are cards that works for a deck concept that I like, normally I play Pauper, Modern and Legacy... three formats I really love and enjoy.

Thanks for reading. :)

How to Play

In order for this deck to function properly, you need to make sure to play small creatures like Thraben Inspector, Expedition Envoy and/or Town Gossipmonger in the first few turns. Hopefully you draw or have in hand a Hamlet Captain or a Thalia's Lieutenant to play in order to boost the team during the attack phase(or if you need to block with Hamlet Captain).

Always Watching is the "Glorious Anthem" in this deck that will give everyone Vigilance and +1/+1 so you can attack and tap stuff with Veteran Warleader/Town Gossipmonger without losing some combat damage.

I picked Expedition Envoy only because it's a Savannah Lion, Human and it helps Veteran Warleader to gain it's abilities.

This deck plays 3 Heron's Grace Champion and 4 Veteran Warleader as the big bombs of the deck... Heron boosts with +1/+1 and Lifelink and Veteran Warleader can gain Trample and is as strong as the number of creatures you control.

I play one Sigarda because she can be a good protector that can help you to survive in late games... also because she's cool. ^^

Why I play Thalia... well... she slows down the opponent.

Sideboard:

Appetite for the Unnatural - This sideboard card is mainly against Stasis Snare, Gearhulks and other troublesome Permanents.

Authority of the Consuls - Great against the Cat-Saheeli combo!

Blessed Alliance - Useful protection during the opponents combat phase.

Eerie Interlude - The card you need to avoid annoying boardwipes.

Lifecrafter's Bestiary - If you end up playing longer games and you need to filter your deck.

Skywhaler's Shot - Shoot down big creatures. For example: Elder Deep-Fiend, Torrential Gearhulk, Verdurous Gearhulk.

Stasis Snare - I choosed to put in 2 extra in the deck in case I need more instant speed removals.
