This version of Cogs has been the most successful deck in Season 2 of PK Modern, winning 5 of the 15 events and having a combined record of 45-10. It is widely considered the best deck in the format and is the deck to beat. It is also known as Cogs, Stars and Stripes since it is a Red, White, and Blue deck. The archetype for this deck is a mid-range deck and requires a board presence in order to be successful. The idea is to accumulate an advantage on the battlefield using cheap artifacts that work in machine like fashion to provide the advantage. The creatures of this deck are defined more by their resilience than by raw power. PK Modern is a 3 round Swiss Event followed by a Top 8 Single Elimination to decide the event winner. The format is Modern Pauper, where you are allowed to only use Common cards from the Modern sets. It was created and is run by MTGO player ParoXitic who is also the creator of Clan Pauper Krew on MTGO, which I am proudly a member of.
