Deck Description

After getting my first Lich's Mirror today (I wanted it for the art :P), I decided to build a deck utilizing some kind of Lich theme. A combo using Phylactery Lich plus the newly released Darksteel Relic immediately popped into my head, and thus this deck was born. Add a Pariah's Shield onto the Lich and you're practically invincible (life loss still hurts, and the shield is vulnerable to removal, but there are four of them.) Once you've got the invincibility combo going, just beat your opponent to the ground with an equipped Lich.

Deck discussion for Phylactery Lich Combo

Nice combo with the indestructables/phylactery. My one question is where do you go from the point where you have at least one phylactery lich which cannot be destroyed? Also, if you don't get a lich out rather quickly you seem rather vulnerable.
Other then those (minor) questions/complaints it looks like a nice deck. Perhaps you could take a glance at a vampire deck i'm making for a friend and offer pointers? Anyway even if you don't nice deck...

Both valid points. I could use another finisher other than a pumped Lich, and I was looking into those, just haven't figured out which I'd wanna use yet. As for being vulnerable until I get my combo out, not much I can do about that other than add some kind of chump blocker, Will-O'-The-Wisp and the like, until I either draw into my combo with arena or tutor my missing pieces. Thanks for the suggestions ^^

I was hoping to run this combo as well! How has it been working for you?
