Deck Description

So, the aim of this deck is to somehow get a bloodghast and birthing pod in play. The bloodghast can be sac'd every turn to your birthing pod to bring out any creature in your deck except the Phyrexian obliterator which will have to wait a turn.

I am messing around with composition of this deck to see how it will work..

Anyways, I'd like to see what you all have for suggestions

Deck discussion for Birthing pod extraordinaire

I just see there are 8 cards you can't cast without the help of a combo of birthing pod and bloodghast of which you only have 4 of. I would change the blue creatures imo.

Or just add dual lands? Or would that not be good enough to solve it for you?

PS, originally this deck didn't have drowned catacombs or darkslick shores.

Deathgreeter might be a good 1 drop for this deck.

Yeah I think that works too, I thought you were wanting to stick to mono-black

Yeah, it'd of been nice, but sometimes reality is a B***, it just wouldn't have worked.

Since the pod grants an additional mana for the returned creature, you should take out some of the 3 mana creatures and put in some more 4 mana creatures. Also add cards that would let you return cards from your graveyard since birthing pod will kill them.

The reason why I don't have any 4 CMC creatures is that bloodghast will be the only creature sac'd with birthing pod. If I only Sac the bloodghast, it will come back all on its own, so I don't need any cards to return them to my hand or play.
