Deck Description

This is a green combo deck I developed over the past months.
I crushed FNMs with this one and there is nearly no possibility to stop this engine when it starts rollin.

I will include a description now since most of you guys do not seem to understand the full potential of this deck by just looking at it.

- Minion Reflector -

1. For 2 Mana you can copy every creature you play. That means that every "when (enter creature here) enters the battlefield" - effect will trigger twice. Thats totally insane in this deck. Let me help you understand what that means.

--> Doubles the amount of tokens you get from Avenger of Zendikar and Hornet Queen (most important fact: the TOKENS WILL REMAIN on the battlefield after you sacrificed the creature that produced them)
--> Doubles the amount of land drops you get from Primeval Titan and Solemn Simulacrum and the amount of land kills from Sundering Titan
--> Doubles the lifegain of Thragtusk and Pelakka Wurm

2. The copy of the creature gains haste

--> If you play Kalonian Hydra, copy it and attack you will have 8 +1/+1 on both of them instead of just 4. Hitting for 8 trample dmg in the turn you played it and shoot for 16 trample in the next turn.
--> Trigger Primeval Titans land tutoring in the same turn (that means you will get 6 LANDS in one turn of you copy Primeval Titan instead of just 2... 2 from the original, 2 from the copy and 2 from the attacking copy wich provides you with an insane advantage)
--> If you play Dryad Arbor (tutorable via Primeval Titan) you can use the active in the same turn

3. The creature is sacrificed at the end of turn

--> Triggers "when this creature dies/ leaves the battlefield" effects of Thragtusk, Pelakka Wurm, Solemn Simulacrum, Wurmcoil Engine and Sundering Titan (3 land kills in one turn instead of just one)

- Doubling Season/ Parallel Lives -

While a nice boost to everything this deck does on itself when Minion Reflector AND Deason are both out on the field this deck becomes truly insane:

Minion Reflector + Doubling Season + Kalonian Hydra = 3 8/8 Hydras with trample, 2 of them with haste boosting all of them to 72/72...

Minion Reflector + Doubling Season/ Parallel Lives + Hornet Queen = 3 Hornet Queens, 2 of them with haste + 24 tokens with flying and deathtouch...

Minion Reflector + Doubling Season/ Parallel Lives + Avenger O.Z. = looots of tokens + with landfall mechanic looots of +1/+1 counters on them... (let's say you somehow only managed to have 10 lands out on the battlefield when you play Avenger you will get 3 Avengers dropping 60 tokens..)

Minion Reflector + Doubling Season/ Parallel Lives + Wurmcoil Engine = 3 Wurmcoil Engines, 2 hasted, 2 sacrificed at the end of turn leaving you with 1 Engine and 8 3/3 tokens, 4 with deathtouch and 4 with lifelink

Minion Reflector + Doubling Season/ Parallel Lives + Sundering Titan = 3 Titans, 2 hasted --> 5 land kills in one turn --> GG Bro.

Gets even worse if more Deasons/ Lives/ Reflectors are out.

- Conjurer's Closet -
Triggers "when (this creature) enters/ leaves the battlefield"-effects again and again. Also allows you to trigger Minion Reflector for some further insanity.
Most importantly this card lets you avoid the sacrifice of a copy created with Minion Reflector.

Other possible Synergies:

Kalonian Hydra boosts Avenger's tokens
Primeval Titans and Solemn Simulacrums land drops boost Avenger's tokens and help you gain life via Courser of Kruphix.

Support Cards:

- Well of Lost Dreams -
This artifact will keep your hand full throughout the game since this deck is able to produce extreme amounts of life via Curser of Kruphix, Wurmcoil Engine, Pelakka Wurm and Thragtusk.

- Beast Within -
Most versatile green removal spell in my opinion. The 3/3 creature will be a joke for you to handle. Even Courser will be able to block it early so use it if you feel the need.

- Explore -
Early game acceleration.

Feel free to add protection cards like Lightning Greaves or Priviledged Position if you want to. I played them before but didn't really need them that often..

There are just a few decks I played against that are able to handle this kind of madness.
Even if you are able to eliminate key cards like Reflector or Doubling Season/ Parallel Lives a pretty neat mono green deck will remain.

Have fun guys, have fun.

How to Play

Never stop comboing.

I will include my matchup analysis from now on so you guys believe me that this deck is totally nuts.

- 3:0 vs Jund -

Played a best of five vs a >1000$ competitive Jund deck today and finished with 3:0.
His Tarmogoyfs and Scavenging Oozes were completely useless since my dudes just walked over them.. just like the Lightning Bolts (my creatures are just too fucking tough) and Abrupt Decays (i don't play many cards for 3 or less mana).
The only things he could remove were my Elves now and then (big whoop :D) and the Courser w/Abrupt Decay and one Primeval Titan w/ Terminate. Just played another one in the next turn. ^^
Inquisition of Kozilek was just as useless as Abrupt Decay. No core cards of this deck could be removed. Remove Thragtusk or Wurmcoil Engine when Parallel Lives is out and you will make everything worse. Also, have fun removing loads of tokens with your fucking spot removal bro.
His Liliana did nothing but feeding my beasts. She let me discard a card wich was just as useless as his other discard since Well of Lost Dreams filled up my hand again in no time. One time I transmuted this useless bitch into a 3/3 creature. That was the only time in all three games she became really dangerous. Lol.
I laughed off his attacks and his early game "pressure" with hefty lifegain in the midgame (15 life for summoning a Thragtusk with Parallel Lives and Minion Reflector out --> I got 15 life and 4 3/3 tokens in one turn + ofc the initial thragtusk and all this for just 7 mana wich I ramped in 5 turns .. he destroyed the tokens w/ Maelstrom Pulse but that just bought him one more turn in the end..
turn 1: Forest + Elvish Mystic; turn 2: Forest + Explore + Forest + Llanowar Elves; turn 3: Minion Reflector + Forest; turn 4: Forest + Parallel Lives; turn 5: Forest + Thragtusk... not exactly a perfect progression of drops but it was enough to finish the game with a higher life total than my starting life and wiping my ass with a competitive deck 8 times more expensive than mine)
I think I almost felt a little sorry for him. He just couldn't answer anything I did and his removal was completely useless in the end. I would've loved to summon hundreds of tokens with my cheap Hornet Queens and Avenger OZs and just ignore his 200$ Tarmogoyfs but sadly I won before I could pull that off.

...to be continued..

Deck discussion for Competitive Decks: MG Insanity

Very interesting. Have you played with this deck before?

I only played it in the modded version of the Planeswalkers game. I think about getting it in real life too since its pretty funny. I basically just took an average mono green deck and tried to accelerate finisher creatures a bit with Reflector and Deason. Works pretty well since you can cut cards like Craterhoof Behemoth or Overwhelming Stampede for them.

I would hate to be on the other end of it

I could use some help with a possible side deck guys :)
The cards included until now are more kind of maybe-boardish.
Thanks dudes!

Also I thought about exchanging Doubling Season for Parallel Lives since I don't run Kalonian Hydra anymore in the main deck. I always faced problems when fighting aggro burn decks so I tried out Thragtusk and Pelakka Wurm for the lifegain and it worked wonders. The only +1/+1 counter source is Avenger now and since I only run 1 copy of it Doubling Season isn't really worth it anymore.

Torpor Orb or Hushwing Gryff would unfortunately wreck your whole day, but thank god for Beast Within, right? Neat deck! +1

Yeah they are annoying. I can't think of a more ass deck to face than a mono w lockdown.
Seriously I don't know any deck that's not fuckable in any way. That's the beauty of MTG.

I like it. It's mono-green and generates lots of dudes :P
I wouldn't rely on Beast Within against Torpor Orb or some other artifact. Sideboard in Naturalize or something. Cranial Archive/Elixir of Immortality against mill decks. And if you need a card from the graveyard or something, Den Protector/Make a Wish can do the job.
