Okay, first you must realize this deck is built for standard competitive, so Lapse of Certainty wouldn't be legal here.

I dont know if you've seen naturalize mainboard twice?

Blue is mostly here to make sure I've got a strong curve and win condition. Green (in my opinion) has almost no strong cards that come on 3 mana, so that's where Jace beleren fits right in. Preordain is also a great card here. it makes me dig for Acidic Slimes if I do or don't need them

Staggershock would be my first card I'd switch out, but if you think you really need that to fuel the fiend, I think you're better off removing Infiltration Lens. you see, when you attack when a 1/1 guy is equipped, he just is not going to block it, but if Kiln Fiend is equipped, and you've cast a ton of spells this turn, he'll chump it giving you two extra cards. But I prefer to save my kiln fiend rather than it makes me draw two cards, so I'd rather have it equipped with Swiftfoot boots than infiltration lens

I don't think Surgical Extraction is the best answer your colors have against Valakut. You already have tectonic edge and acidic slimes, but if you're so worried I think that Leyline of Sanctity will help out much more. Not only does it protect you from the valakut triggers, but it also completely blocks out the disruption spells you're likely to face when playing against black or blue/black control decks. It's also great to board in against burn-heavy decks. I'd probably board it in against every red deck that's planning on burning you down.

Rampant growth is a strong, solid ramp card but I don't think that's what you need in here. My guess is to play explore over rampant growth, because if you draw into rampant growth later you'd wished it was explore. You also have your deck curved out in a way that a turn 2 rampant growth won't be your favorite spell to cast: you'll rather resolve squadron hawk or fauna shaman.

I completely agree with you on the land thing.

No problem. if you have the time, you can check out my decklists if you want to. I'd appreciate the feedback on my decks. Good luck on your FNM...

Hey Nice deck list man, Goblins are awesome to play this way. There are some things I'd change however.

I'd remove Goblin War Paint to be replaced by Adaptive Automaton. Adaptive Automaton functions like another Goblin Warchief in the deck, and I don't think the war paint is that good in here.

I would not play Hero of Oxid Ridge in here. As you are planning to dump your hand on the table and hit for it, I'd seriously consider replacing it with Signal pest. Signal Pest can really screw your opponents with the extra battlecry ability, especially because it appears a bit earlier. You don't play too many lands, so the Hero can be a bit of a hassle to drop. It's also a no-brain target for a removal spell.

Contested War Zone is also a card that I'd really play in here. It provides a battle-cry effect, and with a lot of creatures in here it would be a very strong effect.

Goblin Arsonist may also be an amazing card in here. If you can grenade it, it becomes even easier to deal a large amount of damage.

I like your decklist, hope you have fun playing it!

Okay, this looks like a funny tribal myr deck, but there's something that bothers me.

Why exactly are you playing red? I understand infinite mana is fun to do, but what are you gonna do with it. You can drop your hand on the table, but is that seriously the best thing to do? If your opponent casts day of judgment a turn later, you are as good as dead. Galvanic Blast is a strong burn spell, but I don't think that's what this deck needs. And pyretic Ritual is just a bad card. I wouldn't play it anywhere. Another problem when playing red in here is actually getting stuck on 2 mountains and a single plains while tempered steel is rotting away in your hand... Without the proper fetchlands you shouldn't try to play red in here.

If you plan on removing red after this comment, there are a few suggestions i can give you to be able to make a strong myr based deck.

At first, I'd strongly suggest Contested War Zone in this deck. the point in it providing only colorless is no problem at all, as you play almost only colorless creatures. The battle cry will seriously help you out though...

Secondly, try Oblivion Ring or Journey to Nowhere in the deck. If your opponent manages to stall you enough to drop Wurmcoil Engine, you won't have anything to deal with that.

3rd: Vault Skirge. I know Vault Skirge is not a Myr creature, but the boost it gets from tempered steel is just amazing. It would also be the only one-drop creature you could possibly play. Another suggestion for that spot is Signal pest. Again, Signal pest is not a Myr, but provides a really strong interaction with Tempered steel and any aggressive creature-based strategy.

I actually wouldn't play steel overseer in here. The overseer itself is not so strong on the offense, and there are way better things you can do with two mana. Porcelain Legionnaire is another example of a non-myr card that would be a great add-on, even if going for the tribal theme.

That's all I can give on feedback right now. If you plan on taking out red entirely, I suggest you send me a message if you need some more card suggestions.

Nice work on the tribal theme combined with Myr tho'. I like your deck.

Plz comment on my decks. (anything marked tournament quality is worth looking at, the rest is gibberish, from my noob time in magic)

You really did a great job despite your budget restrictions. There are a few things I'd change though:

At first: you are going to want to play Jace Beleren in this deck more than anywhere else. Most control decks (and I think this one belongs on that list) are built to trade out one of your cards for another of theirs. If you play Jace, you draw twice the amount of cards, meaning you will have twice as much the chance you draw the possible answer to whatever there's on the table that's troubling you. Now Jace is not really a budget card, but as he rotates out soon it shouldn't be hard to trade for.

Second: I don't feel like Deprive is good in this deck. The fact you have to bounce a land can really trouble you if you need to counter a certain card but plan on playing Wurmcoil or Titan or Sphinx on turn 6. I'd consider replacing it with more copies of cancel. There is a possible better replacement but that requires you to play another card(s) and really a playset of those.

Third (here's the card to play another counterspell): TUMBLE MAGNET! This artifact is absurdly strong at keeping caw-blade decks off your back and allows you to effectively play another counterspell: Stoic Rebuttal. This card can be a solid Hardcounter for only [U][U]. If you plan on playing that counterspell, you might consider adding a few more artifacts to make sure u get that metalcraft. Everflowing Chalice is a strong card in this deck. As your mana-weight is not too high, there should be no reason to hesitate, and it counts up to your metalcraft.

If you plan on playing Stoic Rebuttal, (and even if not) I'd seriously play Solemn Simulacrum in this deck if you manage to pick up any. Now Solemn Simulacrum is an expensive card, but if you can trade for it, you should really do that. It is a card that put's you on 6 lands on turn 5, so the wurmcoil/titan comes a turn earlier. That is especially strong against aggressive decks that are about to tear you down. The Titan and the Wurmcoil are both capable of completely destroying any aggressive strategy that may come your way.

Third: (these are a lot of cards I'd replace by an almost similar card but slightly better)

Spell pierce > negate
Diabolic Tutor should be completely removed to add in something like Lilliana Vess? Lilliana will tutor more often but comes a turn later, but can provides more different abilities, which is more likely to pay off. again, Lilliana is not really a budget card, but it's not expensive at this very moment. If you could trade for one or two, I'd seriously consider it.

Remove 2 go for the throat and switch them for Doom blade. You'll be in big trouble if Wurmcoil Engine comes your way or you face a Tempered steel-based deck.

Finally, there's something I'd do but I don't think you are capable of that due to your budget restriction: Remove Jwar Isle Refuge and 2 islands and 2 swamps to put in 4 creeping tar pit (best manland available) and 4 darkslick shores. Both will eventually be better than Jwar Isle Refuge, and you don't need to worry about things coming into play tapped as you play a control game, so you should be able to keep your opponent quiet long enough...

Strong decklist overall. Perhaps Karn Liberated as a 1-of would be fun to play? It is a very solid removal spell and if you manage to defend it, you can really screw your opponent.

Like your deck, plz comment on my decks...

I really like this decklist. You have some strong synergy's in here, for example Beast within and Skinshifter. However, there are a few things I'd change here.

At first, I'd replace cultivate by either explore or rampant growht (explore has my preference). That change will really help you to fill out your mana-curve, as you currently have a bit too much of 3-mana cards.

Secondly, I don't think I'd play acidic slime here mainboarded. I'd seriously replace it with Vengevine, as that card is great to discard with the fauna shaman, and get back with a couple of squadron hawks.

Third thing: why surgical extraction sideboard? In what match-up would you board it in, and what exactly would it do for you? Unless combined with something like inquisition of kozilek, duress, or despise, it won't really do much for you. I'd completely remove it and board in something like naturalize or mental misstep to counter control-matchups. Obstinate Baloth would also be a great sideboard card in that case.

4th thing is about the lands. I'd seriously play 2 more stirring wildwood and 2 more tectonic edge in here instead of plains and forests. and i really mean mainboarded, not sideboard. I know the wildwood slows things down a bit, but the aggressive pressure it can provide is really worth your while. Tectonic edge will be great against creeping tar pit, as you don't have any other answer to that manland in the deck nor sideboard.

5th thing: vines of vastwood in sideboard? again, in what matchups will it save you? What will it do for you? I'd replace it with Asceticism, or more copies of Thrun, the Last Troll. Garruk, Primal hunter could also be really nice in this deck, but I assume you don't want too many high mana cards as you really need to focus on the beatdown. I think mimic vat could be a nice card in here? If your opponent uses day of judgment to clear the board, you can manage to get a vengevine or even an acidic slime on the vat, it can seriously screw your opponent. As for Vines of Vastwood, I'd consider replacing it with 4 copies of Timely Reinforcements? This card will help you out big time if playing against any other aggressive deck, and especially against red decks, those 3 guys but also the 6 life you get from it will really put them nice and screwed.

The deck idea looks nice. I really like those swords of feast and famine in here, (im a big fan of them) Taking an extra turn for free by equipping it to birds of paradise on turn 3 (imagining you dropped it on turn 2) can, especially early game, completely overwhelm your opponent. Good job on the list... I really like the deck.

another thing you really need to make sure you change when you are going to play this deck in competitive is: your sideboard MUST contain 15 cards if you have a sideboard. Look up the MTG rules if you don't believe it...

no problem pal, everyone wants feedback on the decks, and I just try to use my experience and deck-building skills to help other people out. This is probably the best feedback I can give.

If you don't mind, take a look at my decks? There are sure to be some nice tournament quality decklists to be found...

Your opponent will be using those removal spells anyway, so if you manage to get them tapped-out and they don' t expect it, you will definitely get something out of the boots.

no problem dude, everyone putting decks on mtgvault does it to get some feedback. I see no other reason to put my decks here if no one would look at them and give me suggestions about cards. Everyone who has posts their decks here is not so confident about decklists and deserves to get comments on the decks so their decks will hopefully improve. You have some very nice deck ideas. Some are really solid. Others are a bit less, but hey! if you were a all-pro deckbuilder you wouldn't need any feedback. I've now been playing standard competitive for a couple o' months and I'm really happy with the feedback I get on my decks from mtgvault.

thanks for the comments on my decks. only the decks I list on tournament quality atm are worth looking at...

I'm really happy with your feedback, but I no longer play decks in casual format. The only thing I play now in my social circles is standard because we all agreed that it would be more fun if we could focus our shared card pool on a few sets/blocks, not the entire card collection. We also think that it's better to play standard in our group because it provides some good practice in standard play, so we all play better on FNM's. Another thing is we can rely on strong deck ideas and funny columns and decks the dailymtg site provides us. We are capable of looking up decklists and reviews about budget decks or lab decks so we are faster with deciding wether certain decks would work or not. We also thought it was more challenging to have access to a more limited amount of cards instead of the entire collection, as it would provide better deckbuilding challenges, forcing people to continuously keep constructing new decks.

okay, first I'd consider asking yourself what do you get from playing both at the same time. If you need board-wipers, disruption and spot removal, you want to play black. What reason is there to play both colors in the same deck? You don't have acces to manlands in B/W, which are extremely important nowadays, especially in control decks. I'd decide taking out either color and replacing it with blue, giving you acces to manlands and better manafix with dual-lands, but most importantly a stronger card draw engine. Black and white are both capable of the same things, where black has disruption through inquisition of kozilek where white has access to oblivion ring, which is a great on-board removal card. You want to play a color because it gives you access to cards you can't play in the other colors in the deck. You don't have any counterspells or deck-digging spells, so I'd seriously consider removing either color to play blue.

Aside from that choice. I don't like the idea of having Leyline of Sanctity in mainboard. It won't help you out if playing against a deck like blue-black control or caw-blade, which both are the strongest decks available atm. Secondly, I don't like luminarch ascension in here at all. If playing luminarch ascension, you have to completely build a deck around it. Those two enchantments are really misplaced, and I'd switch them for either doom-blades or Vampire Nighthawk?the nighthawk is capable of keeping squadron hawks off of you, and will seriously help out against aggressive strategies like mono-blue illusions or tempered steel decks. Then I'd take out batterskull and replace it with Baneslayer Angel. Baneslayer angel would be the best reason in any white control deck to play that control deck. Batterskull was especially strong in decks were it was combined with Stoneforge Mystic. It won't do much here in this deck.

Solemn Simulacrum is also a card you'd really want to play. It gives you a mana-fixing and mana-accelerating ability. Solemn Simulacrum would (if it resolves) get you to 6 lands on turn five, where a titan or wurmcoil engine can be a really big problem for your opponent.

Overall, the deck list looks solid, aside from the fact that if you play a sideboard it must contain 15 cards. No less, No more. Also, try to make the deck 60 cards.

I don't think so. I'd even prefer to take out 4 mountains to add contested war zone. You see, when you lose the warzone thanks to a flyer early game, you are going to be in big troublez...

Please note that this deck is no longer playable in standard competetive thanks to Mental Misstep. The first game will be in your favor, but after sideboarding this deck is just going to lose twice...

Is this built for casual? Cause if so, I'd try putting in cards like Imperious perfect, Elvish Champion, and not to forget: Nissa Revane and Nissa's Chosen. Especially Nissa's Chosen has some great early agressive capabilities. I also think that the 4 artifacts you are running should be down to 2. I'd completely remove Akroma's Memorial and put in something like hunter's insight to make you draw lots of cards? And I'd put in Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger instead of the crusher, as Vorinclex can give you one hell of a bomb on a single Genesis Wave, as where Ulamog's crusher would be the last colorless eldrazi creature I'd play. Kozilek would do way better, as it has much more impact on the game. Ulamog is also great to play in such a deck, but Emrakul is a bit too much to hardcast if not completely going for a ramping strategy...

Perhaps Frost Titan? Otherwise I'd suggest Tumble magnets and Sphere of the Suns'. With Venser on the field, they will never run out of counters... I don't think baneslayer angel is that good in here. You will want to combo almost anything with Venser, so I'd suggest switching it for another Venser...

I prefer Wildspeaker as he ramps up right into a titan, mostly on turn 4. the primal hunter won't do that for me, and it won't help me solidify against cards that totally wreck my deck like day of judgment.

I'd choose for the card Livewire lash, because it makes you win the game if you can cast a couple of Mutagenic growths on the creature it's equipping. Livewire lash also boosts the power of the equipped creature, what certainly pays off if you manage to equip it to Inkmoth Nexus or something like that.
I'd suggest trying to pick up more inkmoth nexuses, but there is nothing else I would change here...
looks pretty solid. Nice job...
