Deck Description

Since the dawn of the Multiverse, a fierce battle between ferocious beasts and powerful wizards has raged, never ending, timeless. But now, a new power emerges from the shattered, war-torn plains. The power of the Dragon. Master these proud, ancient beings and you have mastered the Multiverse itself. Control the Dragons. Rule the Skies.

I recently had the opportunity to participate in a very fast-paced tournament. Ever since M14 was released, local players have been going on and on about the dragon's finally coming back in full force. Strangely, no-one wanted to play them in favor of R/G Aggro or what have you. I was planning on trying out my new U/R Evasion build based on Fire Surge but at the last minute, I decided I wanted to play dragons. So I took to lending out some of my rares for the tourney in exchange for these massive drags. I must say, it all turned out fairly well in the end. I believe that with some minor adjustments, dragons could really be competitive. it's hard to argue against placing 2nd out of 36, isn't it?
Anyway, feel free to discuss this and if you see something you like, fell free to use it. Also, I'd like to properly thank Wizards for releasing Door of Destinies and Mutavault in the same set. They really go hand in hand.

Hey, thanks. I try. Actually, it's just this little thing I've got going on with my play group. Every time one of us comes up with a non-meta theme, we turn it into a Custom Pack kind of thing for our local tournament. It keeps thing interesting. Each of us has to come up with one in each Custom Pack tourney we host. The description judged best earns its creator a booster. After all, it's all part of the game!

Well, we're looking at something like turn seven, if everything goes well. But in reality, turn 12-13 is the norm, simply because it feels like an odd red control deck against most builds (Boros, R/G Aggro, Bant even....)
I have managed a sixth turn win, but that was in a really messed up Maze deck. I don't think it counts, since my opponent got god-awful starting hands. On average though, the long-game is when the damage starts adding up.

Oh, I'd try to work on it more, but this is the best I can do with what I have. I rarely ever will build a proxy deck without being able to acquire the cards quickly. My school group is fairly competitive at the moment and I like to grab cards when I can. But, I'll be sure to look into some stuff. Just don't expect any major updates for a while! :)
