Deal as much direct damage to your opponent as you can, with Bump in the Night and Devil's Play. Discard their hand with Mind Rot and Skull Rend. The creatures Ravenous Rats, Brain Weevil and Black Cat will cause more discarding. The enchantment Shrieking Affliction is the key card, as it causes 3 damage whenever their hand has one card or less during upkeep. Guttersnipe does damage every time an instant or sorcery is played. Charmbreaker Devil can return Sorcery and Instant cards to your hand, so you can play them again. Past in Flames gives your used Sorceries and Instants Flashback, for another use. Rage Thrower does damage when any creature dies. Stab Wound will cause damage each upkeep while it is attached to a creature. Another important card is Deathrite Shaman. It will exile cards from a graveyard, causing loss of life, life gain or for mana. Exquisite Blood will cause you to gain life whenever your opponent loses life.
