Deck Description

Un•beat•a•ble [uhn-bee-tuh-buhl]
Adjective

1. Incapable of being beaten; impossible to defeat

2. A deck containing Magic the Gathering trading cards based around the creature type squirrel
_______________________________________________________________________________________

Still open to comments, even though this deck is literally unbeatable. :)

Edit: ok, no one seems to realize this is a joke, i know this isnt unbeatable, i mean its a squirrel deck! And im not really sure how this got on the front page. Since i have plenty more decks on this site that would beat this deck 100 times over. So plz quit taking this so literal and get that its suppose to be funny. Thx :)

Edit: Added tajuru preserver, eldrazi monument, beast within and asceticism. Some GOOD control decks would probably still win though.

"Unbeatable" token based deck, meet my friend - Stronghold Discipline (I got a deck based around that card).
There are no "unbeatable" decks in MTG, but there are some nasty, tough to beat decks.
That being said, this deck isn't too bad, I'd like to see how it runs.

I am a bit confused why Wheel of S&M especially with Elixir of Immortality. You have serveral cards that have threshold, so both of these cards would potentially negate the threshold bonus. That said, as long as W of S&M is not out until you have 7 cards in the GY, no biggie until you pop elixir.

Interesting deck, certainly would be fun to see in action.

0
Posted 09 July 2012 at 14:43

i was thinking the same thing. there are a lot of threshold cards in this deck, but also cards that exile themselves if you flashback.

i'd think about something simple like giant growth for early game defense (it has a squirrel in the graphic!!) or even some cheap mana production

Use extinction and choose squirrels, and they all die. extinction does not target, and gives a nonsquirrel deck a way to deal combat damage or burn.

0

Wow you don't know what you're talking about.

Here's a Dredge deck
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=359704

Step one: Throw a dredger in the graveyard
Step two: Don't miss Ichorid triggers at the beginning of your upkeep. Dredge!
Step three: Flashback Dread Return targeting Flame-Kin Zealot and swing for the kill.

Reminder: Read Narcomoeba and Bridge from Below.

Most of all of this happens on turn two or three. Your deck is too slow for it. It's funny and beatable.

Also learn how to spell. That might make you sound a little smarter. Just saying

0
Posted 11 July 2012 at 22:48

How do i not know what im talking about? I asked u to explain how because it didnt make sense. How about next time, instead of assuming i know what the hell ur talking about, you actually post the deck link the first time and tell me whats the problem with my deck.

Once again if you knew how to read past one line you could see that i dont think this deck is unbeatable, its meant to be funny. Quite frankly im not sure why its on the front page anyway.

Also, learn how to make a deck that gets more than 5 comments and actually makes it to the front page. That might make you a little more respectable. Just saying

And so what if i pushed an extra key in "actually" or forgot the space in "elaborate on" or push "c" instead of "s" in sense? Because you knew what i meant, so obviously i still got the point across.

0

The reasons I don't have any front page decks is because there are so many idots that use this site and don't know a great deck from a crappy one and would rather like something funny than like a great idea or an actual deck that kicks ass. Most of my decks I post on here very regularly place top 3 at FNM where I play, and I play against some level 2 judges that have been playing 13+ years plus some amazing players that are nationally ranked.

Again, you don't know what you're talking about and I don't appreciate any of your negative comments. The reason I know you have no knowledge outside of the casual world is because Legacy Dredge is one of the most difficult decks to beat and you would have at least known that if you didn't play decks like yours.

I would have known what you meant if you spelled it right the first time.

P.S. It makes me happy you looked at my profile and decks. Bazinga!

0
Posted 12 July 2012 at 17:38

Ok, i want to start with im sorry i dont want to argue with you. But you said my deck gets teabagged everyday, first So if you didnt want any negative comments you should of said something a little more nice to start with. Cause how was i suppose to respond?

And i know i dont know what dredge is. I said that three times now. I never said i did know what it is. I asked you to tell me what it is and how it could beat me. And i play modern and standard and casual.

Im glad ur happy. Cause your deck really is good, and would probably beat this one. I dont think i can stress this enough. I dont think this deck is unbeatable or even good. I would never build this deck. I have plenty of over decks that are way better and have hit front page.

0
Posted 12 July 2012 at 17:52

First I would like to accept your appology. Yes Teabagging is bad and computers aren't very good with sarcasm. Sorry.

Dredge is a mechanic from Ravnica. Instead of drawing from your library, instead you can put the top X cards into your graveyard and return whatever card with dredge from your graveyard. X is the number next to the word dredge.

Seeing that the decks name is dredge, let's abuse the mechanic. Play as many draw spells in one turn as possible using Lion's Eye Diamond (add it to the stack with faithless looting or Breakthrough). Dredge everything you can.

Bridge from Below puts a massive amount of tokens on the battlefeild when nontoken creatures enter your graveyard...so let's force them in there with Dread Return.

When you Dread Return, target Flame-Kin Zealot (giving all the tokens you just made haste and +1/+1). Swing for the win.

That's just a basic overview of the deck. It can pop on turn 2 but usually hits on turn 3.

Yes your deck looks fun to play in a group game or something. Instead of the Mirror, I would go with Coat of Arms.

P.S. You only have 2 or 3 decks out of the 5 pages of decks you have that could have possibly hit the front page. Don't get on your high horse bud. Just because you can cleverly name something doesn't make it good

Wasnt trying to be a know it all, dude. But i make like 5 decks a day cause i think its fun. And i meant plenty of way better decks. Not plenty of deck that hit the front page. As u could of guessed im not the best typer.

Interesting idea. I myself made an eldrazi monument - big zoo based deck and i learned quickly that it kicks @$$, however, facing off against experienced players with well thought out side boards/ side boards full of removal like naturalize, I quickly learned that artifact destruction owned against it, and i was stuck with a bunch of grizzly bear- like creatures who weren't all that good by themselves. THIS DECK however, has so many different win conditions that this doesn't even seem like a problem for you. unbeatable may not be a far cry from the truth afterall. If you build this IRL i would like to hear how it works out for you, because i own 4/5ths of this deck and might build it myself.

This deck has "So many win conditions?" What are you talking about? The only win condition here is to pump as many squirrels onto the field and attack. That's what's called a linear deck and is very easy to disrupt or shut down. Norn's Annex would demolish this deck so hard. "I have to pay 2 life for each creature that's attacking? Scoop"

Is there anyone here that knows a good deck when they see one. How did this get on the front page?

Well firstly, i would like to congratulate you on making fairly nice dredge deck. Secondly, i would like to warn that you do not in fact have any removal or any countermeasures whatsoever, which brings me to Thirdly, any amount of graveyard hate would absolutely rape your deck. I cannot deny that it is a very good deck, in terms of speed and efficiency, but you don't appear to have any defenses of any kind if it is somehow halted. So for the benefit of the deck, i have prepared a list of things that would rape your deck. Once you have ways to effectively deal with most of them, you will have a much better deck:

- Bazzar of Wonders
- Bojuka Bog
- Counterbore
- Cranial Extraction
- Identity Crisis
- Leyline of the Void
- Martyr of Bones
- Memoricide
- Moratorium Stone
- Necromancer's Covenant
- Nihil Spellbomb
- Ravenous Trap
- Relic of Progenitus
- Shimian Specter
- Suffer the Past
- Surgical Extraction
- Tormod's Crypt
- Undead Alchemist

Very good! Nice to see you paid attention!

I don't think you understand what Cabal Theropy does. Read it again.

I updated my sideboard too. Think you can handle the pressure?

0
Posted 18 July 2012 at 04:23

honestly, yes i could, even with the sideboard. The issue with the sideboard is that almost everything you put in it is LATE GAME (and btw, why is cabal therapy in the sideboard when you already have 4 main deck?) I find if you put anything above cmc 4 in your sideboard, you're wasting your time, as it won't make a large difference. A sideboard is where you put countermeasures, not really things that "just didn't make the cut". What you need is nice, cheap removal, and things that protect your creatures. In the case of this deck, things with flashback are especially good, since you are very likely to put them in your graveyard by dredging. Here's is a sideboard i would use (if i ran your deck):

- x3 Ray of Revelation
- x4 Ancient Grudge
- x3 Artful Dodge
- x4 Murder
- x1 Vindicate

By late game you mean turn 2 or 3?

I don't think you quite understand the power of what I can do with this dredge deck. Turn 2 - 4 I can win. Easy.

I appreciate your thoughts and ideas for a sideboard but all the cards in it are way too slow to play, even from a graveyard.
