Deck Description

Wanted to see if I could modify my deck Striving to be a Hero to be RW instead of GW. So far, all I've done is replace the green cards with close equivalents. Playtesting should cause modifications, whenever I get a chance to Playtest.

...Not too sure about Akroan Crusader... it doesn't get any +1/+1 counters...

Edit: (3 June 2015)
-3 Akroan Crusader
+1 Satyr Hoplite
+2 Monastery Swiftspear
+3 Defiant Strike {Sideboard}

Deck discussion for Boros Needs a Hero

Anax and Cymede, Phalanx Leader, Ordeal of Heliod/Purphoros, Defiant Strike; Iroas, God of Victory...

All good card, but not quite what I'm going for here.
Anax and Cymede, Phalanx Leader, and Iroas, God of Victory work best with multiple creatures.
Ordeal of Helliod and Ordeal of Purphoros, while good cards, aren't instants. And protection could cause them to fall off before their effects can go off.
Defiant Strike does doesn't do much apart from drawing me only 1 card. I prefer Mortal's Ardor for the lifelink.

My goal is to beef up one, maybe two creatures at instant speed, while leaving enough mana open for the protection spells.

The ordeals are wonderful for heroic. Most times they activate the turn they hit the field.

Also, Hero of Iroas.
