Deck Description

Decided to revive my Elf Warrior deck. This is its current state.

3 weeks ago I came 2nd with this deck at my local FNM :D

How to Play

Pretty simple mentality: play creature(s) and attack. Putrefy any problems.

It's my favourite 2 colours to put together :D

Though this is technically just Green splash Black :/

Mine as well ^_^

Putrefy... there's just something... *eeeevil* about that card, "Izzet 'not?'" ; -)

What's your opinion of "Elves of Deep Shadow?"
I think it has helluva flavor

Elves of Deep Shadow is very flavourful, but the life loss has always been a point that made me exclude it in my tournament decks...

nice deck! mana curve is very low... but there are too much lands in it... 21 or 20 is enough! and you need something like an finisher card and nissa revane.
my suggestion:
drop:
1 forest
3 twinblade slasher or 4 nettle sentinel (depends on wich you like more to play... if you drop the sentinel, add a fourth twinblade)
add:
2 nissa revane
2 ezuri renegade leader or garruk wildspeaker or predatory rampage or overrun (i guess the first one would be the best choice)

and add to your sideboard something to protect your creatures (with hexproof) or to return them from graveyard (natures spiral would be good)

look at my decks, i play 20 or 21 lands in most of my decks with a similar mana curve...

Thanks for the comment. The reason I'm using 22 lands is that I've had problems more often than not while running 20 :|
I got a set of Ezuri and am contemplating dropping the Gilt-Leaf Ambushs for them...

Long time, friend =) Have you considered 'Green Sun's Zenith' and making it tear up Legacy?

I don't play Legacy. Costs too much money to compete with the top Legacy decks.

- No, I´m not a rich man, I´ve assembled this deck over the course of 3+ months, but mostly traded, to many of the key cards.
The reason I´m trying to pitch Legacy your way, is not because of card prices, but I think you´d excel more than most, since you are a very skilled deck builder =)

I don´t know what the rules are at your shop, but at mine they do allow proxies in Legacy. Maybe you could arrange something with the owner?

RDW is one of the few cheap decks to make. Unfortunately, I've never been too fond of playing it.

I'm not as skilled as you'd think, just persistent with my ideas. The key to my building of decks is playtesting and getting input from the opponent.

We have a proxy rule recently instated, but there's a limit of something like only a maximum of 10 cards may be proxied and only if they cost $30 or more (as per Star City Games pricing). the 10 limit is what's killing me...

Oh, I see. That´s a damn shame. Well, persistence breeds professionalism, and you got loads =) Some of the dudes and dudettes proxy whole decks where I play, but I think it also has a limit come to think of it. Hmm... Have to check that out
