First attempt at designing a BG Amonkhet deck based on the creatures that give -1/-1 counters to your own stuff.
The goal is to play around the weakness of the creatures giving -1/-1 counters to gain value.Dread Wanderer is the best target for the -1/-1 counters because it keeps bringing itself back. Sadly you need to empty your hand some before it can recur itself, so only 3 copies. Channeler Initiate isn't a bad target of the counters either, as it allows the Initiate to tap for mana. Exemplar of Strength is another good target as it removes counters just for attacking. Defiant Greatmaw is another good target as any put on it removes that many from the rest. Nest of Scarabs takes advantage of all the -1/-1 counters. Shed Weakness and Hapatra's Mark are awesome, once off effects for removing the counters. With so many ways around the -1/-1 counters, Rhonas the Indomitable is an awesome addition as most creatures will allow Rhonas to attack / block. Bontu the Glorified works well with Dread Wanderer, and with all the Scarabs from Nest of Scarabs and the snakes from Hapatra's second ability. He's also a good card to keep Rhonas online.
