Deck Description

what warriors are brave enough to master the cruelest weapons in the game?

comments and criticism are appreciated

after my first tournament run i have added an extra way to win using infect just in case your opponent is playing a quick version of life gain, as the scythe did me no good i have taken it out for a more fitting and powerful equipment

also, people have said the kitesail and skinwing may be lackluster, but those 2 cards won me more games than the batterskull and puresteel, just because of my opponents lack of fliers, as i am used to using demons, i know very well how easily something with flying can screw over your opponent

current tournament record
6/0- first place

Deck discussion for Pure-Forge

I think you should drop the Strata Scythe for either Argentum Armor or another of the swords. Strata Scythe just isn't nearly as nice as the other cards sure if you get it through its a pretty big chunk of life but at the same time it'd be nice to have pro-some colors and additional effects or some nice removal for whatever is causing you problems. The mana of either shouldn't be a problem since you are preferably playing it w/ stoneforge and equipping w/ the puresteel. I also think you should find something to replace the Kitesail apprentices w/, they seem rather lackluster.

Unfortunately, you make a very limited use of what is the best new white card printed. Puresteel Paladin is so much better that you (or others) seem to realize.

Three cards to bring in are Squadron Hawk, Glint Hawk and Kor Skyfisher. Think card advantage, card advantage and more card advantage. Do some draw testing and add one each of the three swords and Argentum Armor. Massive board position is achievable very quickly.

Use the living weapons as chump blockers and bounce them then replay. If Puresteel is out, draw a card.
Do you see?

personally i like the idea he has delitor or bryce... but i think this is at least more original then all these copies of caw blade because it uses the kor race and abilities better. This deck won game day and runs good i like it and of course im making some cool stuff to nuetralize it which will be hard. your getting much better at making good decks ^^ keep it up man

the full idea of this deck is to use soldiers the way they are meant, what is the good of a deck that revolves around only weapons, if there's no one to swing the sword, there's only 1 way a deck could neutralize something like this, and that is white green double sweepers, if i relied on the weapons like you are saying, it wouldn't work mainly because if my opponent sideboards any kind of artifact kill i'm screwed

Not necessarily 1 way there is always more than one way man. there are sweepers yes but some decks work together nicely that run fast and keep your opponents army at bay long enough to win.... such as baw blade could..
