yes, just look at any highly played net-deck, it has the 2 requirements, it is white, and it runs squadron hawks

My main problem is that if you don't draw squadron hawks in your opening hand, you have a problem. Maybe add some Blue for draw? That way you can have them out quick-smart and once all four hawks are out, the game is yours.

out: 2 plains in: 2 squadron hawks. you should play with 54 lands, your mana curve is a smidge off balance. and stick 2 extra hawks, nobody will mind you playing with 6 of them right?
