Deck discussion for A Pet Craterhoof

splash blue for labortory maniac just incase you cant win one the spot with crater you will be decked so you would need a backup plan he has it where if you would draw a card and have none in your libarary you win the game

add garruk, primal hunter, you need some draw power and it doesn't stop your primal surge. also three primal surges may be too many because the surge dies when it hits another copy

Garruk also pumps the craterhoof's ability with token creatures.
I have a craterhoof deck I recently put together if you wouldn't mind checking it out here http://www.mtgvault.com/kuvetd/decks/bless-the-behemoth/

It focuses on the horde aspect of selesyna a bit more.

i thought bout garruk but i decided no due to his mana cost. actually i have a version of surge i run, not this, and 3 is pretty healthy number 4 is a deff noooooooo and 2 just seems too risky. ill check urs when i have a lil more time no prob.

abundant growth seems unneccessary in a monogreen deck, run farseek and ravnica dual lands which actually gives you ramp. Also drop young wolf, its not really useful here. a couple of somberwald sages would fit in nicely, i would drop dawntreader elk for 2 of them and 1 more archdruid.

well the growth is just more draw power for the deck and it plus young wolf keep the mana cost low making the deck pretty fast. also young wolf adds to my creature count for when craterhoof hits.
