They also provide cheap permanents to sacrifice should you get hit with your Lich out. All of that sacrificing comes in handy when it is time to cast Balance. Give your hand to Insidious Dreams to top Deck everything you need. Draw and cast Phage. Give all your land to Zuran Orb, Cast Balance, Swords their one creature out of the if needed and then win!Of course it all falls apart if you lose one piece of the puzzle, but where's the fun of not having your win hang in the balance?
