Deck Description

Boros withOUT swords. This is the deck I run at FNM, and I usually go 3-1 or 4-0. I like it because I'm the only one that runs a boros deck there. What do y'all think?

Deck discussion for Boros Aggro

I must admit, I like this. Looks fast and aggressive :p
I don't see much that needs to be replaced after rotation as you'll only be losing Blade Splicer and Shock in the mainboard.

Thanks!
Yeah the only problem I foresee post rotation is having to deal with token decks, which tend to do well against this. I might wait for Gatecrash to play this again.

its a different approach from what ive seen from W/r humans which is cool. id ditch the shocks for gather the townsfolks for sure. im not sure about the angels and splicers but thats what makes this deck different.

take a look at my W/r humans? thanks and feel free to follow me and ill return the favor!

Splicers are a really powerful aggressive presence at three mana, and Resto angel combos well with it, along with several other cards. It works nicely. The shocks are there to snipe things like delver and birds and such. I feel that its better than gather. Might be wrong though.

I like yours. I feel that the curve might be a little low, and your top decks might not be as powerful as a result. If I top deck a hellrider or a zealous conscripts, opponents get nervous. But yeah, nice looking deck overall.

There's a guy at my fnm who plays an identical, and I mean literally identical deck to this. Usually beats me just as I'm about to get all set up ftw. Speed is definitely on your side here!

Really? Well that's upsetting. Where do you play?

The classical games shop in godalming, England. If you're gonna make a boros deck and keep it standard, there's only one realistic combination of best cards for usability. If you have the the idea and the cash, and someone else has that same idea and as much cash, of course you're gonna have the same deck. That's why I hate standard. It cuts your pool of cards down from 20,000 to at best 1,000. Way less variety I think.

Damn wow. Since AVR came out and made this deck possible, I have not seen a single person play it quite like this. Hm. Well, cool. Glad to see it has some popularity to it I suppose. But I like standard. I can't really afford to get all these legacy cards anyway.

Well, the trick is to wait until the cards are just out of standard. That's when they're at their cheapest. So all this year I've been buying the cards I want from the zendikar block and come the 5th I'm gonna get crackin on scars of mirrodin. I set myself a limit of $125 (low price) per deck, almost half yours here. I guarantee in two years you could build this deck from scratch for that price or less, positive. But each to their own man, I still think its a great deck.
