Deck Description

Been playing This in Standard lately and doing very well. I tend to use Silence more then i don't making it a 64 card deck. Rancor and increasing Savagery making your double strikes have trample and Huge Dmg potential. I haven't had any suggestions at tournaments or from random people on how to improve it so definitely wondering what some people are holding back :D

How to Play

I save Silence and Ranger's Guile for when i have a buffed double strike out. hex proof or not letting them cast period will Help ensure you can do big dmg before they die if not end the game. Odric Is a beast of a card and let you wreck what you want when you want if you can maintain 4 creatures. Mentor of the Meek is huge for me. It lets me constantly keep cards coming. Since this is a low cost deck you can make big plays with it while buffing your 2 Main Champions.

Yes, oblivion ring. I added that in my last 2HG and they saved my ass :p. Forgot to add them. They remove permanent so if your getting messed up by an enchantment, Artifact or creature your good.

glad to hear it! nice deck btw. hard to find solid standard builds these days and this looks great. if you get a chance do you think you could take a look at my most recent deck? don't like to be that guy, but i'd appreciate some input and you seem to know what's up.

I don't wanna roll red or i would definitely use that, Elspeth is not standard and commander's Authority is abit high cost but i got a couple laying around i could try and see how they do.

You should check out imposing sovereign. He'd work well with this deck. Also, restoration angel would be pretty solid.

Imposing sovereign I will have to try tonight and see how she rolls, Im not a huge fan of Restoration angel. Played her before and didnt do much for me, nothing Ranger;s Guile cant do anyways :D

I really like the deck, but the mana base could really use some work. I'm sure you're aware of all the dual lands and I'd definitely recommend them in there (4 Temple Garden, 4 Sunpetal Grove, 7 Plains, 5 Forest or some variation where Plains outnumber Forest). I just see this missing a lot of really crucial early game drops because most of your cards are so color heavy. I'd also make this more weenie and get rid of Odric, Increasing Savagry, Ranger's Guile for some Thalia and maybe some Imposing Sovereign, make this a really solid weenie. I'd rather have Mikaeus, the Lunarch instead of Archangel of Thune in the sideboard since it's a human and it pretty much performs the same function as Archangel for probably less mana. Thraben Doomsayer could also be a good sideboard for some of the longer control matches where you're trying to dodge supreme verdicts or bonfires. Good luck with the deck, interested to see what direction you go with it.

I honestly blanked on the Lands, I am running 4 of each in my current deck. Increasing Savagery alone has won me games the turn i play it. In my mind its a very underrated Card. Ive been looking for a replacement for Odric just havent seen one till now. Mikaues is going in the deck today, I must have just skipped him somehow in my searches. thanks for the input, really appreciate it.

I have been using Fireshrieker to get a double wallop in with my cards with trample. I've been catching hell from several people on this site for having it in more than one deck. If it works, why not? Love the deck!

Honestly if you are playing a big deck like Beast or Demon that card could win games for you.

Descendant's path or door of destinies make for ridiculous cards with tribal humans, i have run a deck very similar to this the past few months on standard night and usually win at least 3 free boosters. maybe another thraben doomsayer or two, giving your creatures +6/+6 is an easy way to steal the game that people dont really see coming. looks fun

Ive ran descendants path before, Didn't really do much for me overall. I have though about making room for door's but Just cant find the space without losing valuable creatures :(

Drop 1 O-Ring and all increasing Savagery for the four Banisher Priest main board and take out 3 Forest for 3 plains. That outta fix your mana base, hope this helps.

Never drop increasing savagery. its an amazing card that more people should play. It ends games. I havent had a mana problem atall honestly in any tournament games.

perhaps selesnya charms instead of increasing savagery for either buff or removal? also I'd mainboard the gavony of township, its not much of a sideboard card
