I was thinking..man, wouldn't it be cool to use the Pyxis to and drop a bunch of devotion guys all at once? 4 Fanatic of Mogis all by themselves (even with only one devotion each) would deal 16 damage! :O Originally, I was going to go more Rakdos and include Mogis's Marauder and possibly Gray Merchant of Asphodel, but I decided it would be too slow and weak.I'd like to make a few more decks featuring Pyxis of Pandemonium..probably something Blue to take advantage of the high amount of scry (and Thassa's triggered ability). Golgari also sounds promising with Reaper of the Wilds.
Play Pyxis immediately, play some dudes to defend and up your Devotion and use Pyxis every turn to eat a card from the top of your deck (also, if you feel like you've got a good idea of how they're scrying, you can screw with your opponent), if you're lucky you can also set up a good Pyxis hit with Spark Jolt and Magma Jet. In any other deck, I wouldn't run Spark Jolt, but it can work really well with your first strikers AND scry is important to this deck's concept.Anyway, when you do sacrifice the Pyxis, pretty much anything that's under it is going to be explosive damage (short of you revealing a bunch of very unscary land cards). And that's all it is. A beautiful coin flip, stacked heavily in your favor.
