Deck Description

I've seen some decks use this combo, and I wanted to try my hand at it. The only thing I may consider is dropping my lands to 20 since the CMC is around 1-2. If you're on a budget, just take out the steam vents and the god; they're the main bulk of the price, and this deck can run fine without them.

How to Play

This deck is played as a tempo/aggro deck; I play my early creatures quickly while bouncing/killing their creatures and scrying for consistent draws. the cipher cards help with the tempo, as well as synergizing with my creatures. Bident is here since the deck can quickly produce tokens for a lot of card raw.

Deck discussion for Standard Cipher

I like the deck I am just not sure how well the ciphers will fit in as they require you to deal combat damage for them to trigger.

thank you. The ciphers themselves usually give me an opening to let me hit: hidden strings and hands of binding are the main control: the other control spells are mainly for non-situational control. It also helps when I cipher the tokens instead, making it more difficult to either destroy the ciphered creature which may cast the spell for free, or the creatures that go off when a spell is cast. it's really strong early on because the opponent usually has only 1-2 creatures at the start of the game.
