first thing you need to do is slap the most brutal metal song you got into a bose speaker and crank up the volume until ears are bleeding. your next step is to get out rakdos as soon as possible and hold on to your ass because this deck will not slow down until everyone is dead. your job is to stay alive longer than everyone else, or more specifically, make everyone else die before you do.

I dunno, doesn't Rakdos seem more like Mustakrakish than the IRS? While they're pretty brutals, Mustakrakish just seems more to fit the flavor. I Ejaculate Fire from the new album also fits the flavor of a demon. This might be one of the most hellishly brutal EDH decks I've seen man, it definitely trumps my experiments with the beast that is Rakdos(not very shocking, but hey). Metal on man \m/
Yeah, but I just think the sound of the London Philharmonic playing alongside Thrash Metal fits this deck perfectly. It's flowing brutality. You get up to go to the bathroom and suddenly everyone's at 4 life!

I wouldn't really call Dethklok thrash, but they have stuff that could be considered an evolution of it. That song is one of my favourites, but I standby saying that by flavor of Rakdos as a general Awaken would suit better. I need to buy the album too, but first I have to get Paradise Lost by Nine Day Fall. They're pretty sick, the song Vendetta(spill the blood) is my favourite metal song of 2012
i have both already. :) allison bought them for me (one of the many, albeit 'lesser by comparison', perks of having a fiancé). as far as what song to play alongside the deck, my personal favorite from klok is 'birthday, deathday', but really any of their songs would fit the mood. 'murdertrain a-comin' is probably the best for those times i get a turn two rakdos. :p

Congratulations on the whole engagement thing man, I hope it works out well, and hope you two have a good time together! On the deck itself, all I can say is that I'd only play against it with my Nephilim deck. Birthday, Dethday is pretty dang awesome. I'm planning on sending one of my friends a cover of it on their birthday XD Murdertrain a-comin' is also one of the coolest metal songs ever written.
I can tell you these two things: 1) Wumps and Allison are honestly the two most in-love people I've ever seen, and Allison turns out to be more than half-decent at Magic! =] 2) I have never had more of an adrenaline rush playing EDH than when I play against this deck. You make a mistake, and it could end up costing you 10 or more life. Also, Rakdos Charm is an absolutely brutal card (especially against token swarm EDHs)

It's really damn fast. Because of Rakdos's ability, the deck actually gets faster over time. The faster it can deal damage, the faster it can then deal MORE damage. In very short notice, everyone playing will have fallen within single digit life totals. Kaalia is nasty in her own way though, and I think she could actually make some very good use of Rakdos =P
lol wow. might have to get some of the cards here and try this out then. with my own mods ofcourse. dont wanna copy wumps here. haha yah she is and i have rakdos lord of riots in my Kaalia dont think imma add in rakdos, the defiler. this does look very fun to abuse though.

I heard about the baby - congratulations to the three of you :'-) We are expecting as of this moment, and we are due April the 28th. We're having a girl and are utterly happy, we couldn't ask for more (another bathroom wouldn't heard, though. . .) But on the deck;Looks cruel, but how to you continue to heat the furnace, so to speak? Additional card-draw, I think, would help, also, is this meant for multiplayer? sorry if this message is a bit late, as you understand i haven't exactly had much time for magic. to answer your question, the way the 'furnace is heated' is the deck speeds up very quickly, and then empties its hand almost immediately. now i have a few mechanics to draw me cards, but the options that black and red offer, while there is a lot of them, are often too risky in this deck. necropotence is amazing, but life is a precious resource so in this deck, it's actually bad. since i can expect my hand to be empty or close to empty most of the time, i included a number of hellbent cards. i might add more though, hellbent is an under appreciated mechanic. (as you can see it has been a while since i've updated this deck). i also made it so that my opponent will also have no cards in hand. this 'levels' the playing field, so it comes down to speed. and this deck is almost always faster. so if i can offer any advice it is to not be afraid of killing yourself if it means you'll kill your opponent first. also don't be worried about having no hand. rakdos has always been fast, that is why they gave it hellbent.i will try to find time to look at your deck, i sincerely will, but there are diapers to be changed so it might be a while. hope all is well and congratulations on your future little one! :)

I'm kinda getting into this 'Protector of the Realm' -to make it nerdy-sounding, but cool- but I'm pretty sure it won't happen until our baby arrives. She's having a ball in mommy's tummy, and we also got a 3D/4D scanning - it's.. just awesome ^_^
