Deck Description

this is a standard legal deck. it focuses on using shadow creatures to inflict pain continously and effectivley. also, urborg and magus of the coffers leads up to very interesting burn styles with demonfire, conflagarate, blaze, consume spirit as well as Lightning Serpent . there is a tiny bit of madness thrown in, for the avatar of discord and fiery temper.

its should be easy to make a mean rat deck. there are mainly two ways to make it. either you make it plain rats, or you make it partially rats, and partially other interesting creatures. for the second one, you would nees at least 2 conspiracy, and 3-4 ratcatcher. also the colours you choose are very important. if you decide to go with black/red, you could do like what i did with my Shadows in the Flame II deck, with creatures and evil burn tactics. if you choose black/green, you can put in rats

and pump up cards like overwhelm or such, to give yours "rats" that unstopable factor. also, you could make it into a quick, discarding attacking burning rat thing deck, with cards like megrim, ravenous rats, swarm of rats, underworld dreams, fast mana cards, and burn like conflagrate that can pick off multiple targets. also, cards like death pits of rath, conglagrate, Rite of Flame and Seething Song would cause an audible moan from your opponent, as you kill of all of his creatures via

o.k., there are also many ways to follow through with this deck. one way, is black rat with pump. without further info, i will focus on this type of black/green. a basis of this deck would then be rat power, with pump up on the sly for those painfull encounters, (painfull for your opponent). basic pump up for me that is continous, is Gaea's anthem. many believe that it is not that good, but i think it rocks. for 3, it gives all of your creatures +1+1 for as long as it stays in play. lands are

pretty basic. it depends on if you're going budget or dual lands, pain lands etc. i am going on the assumption that you're going on budget. if not, please tell me. coat of arms would be good for the rats, but this can horribly backfire against you if you're playing tokens etc.waaaay better to go with pump like gaea's anthem that only effects your creatures. if the majority (80% and up) of your creatures are partly black or black, blood moon may be good option. this can cause trouble for your

oponent, because if you have 3 rats in play, gaea'santhem and a blood moon, and you play swarm of rats. the swarm of rats becomes a 6 er. that is jinda scary. if you also play predatory glance, and attack with pumped up rats, it can be curtains for your opponent. as you can see, there are many good cards to put in. if you can give me more defined specs., i can perhaps make a rough deck outline for you. after you give me more specs, and i build a rough deck, i will call it rattish, so you can see
