I wanted to play Izzet, but I didn't have a lot of money for the really good cards. I decided to look in my local game stores' one dollar box, and I found inspiration there.
What you want to do is to play a few creatures with prowess, maybe poke a bit, and then OVERLOAD (see what I did there?) your opponent with cheap instants for both combat tricks AND control. With enough luck, you can be swinging for fourteen on turn four!
