Changing the name to something more suitable...

Which one? Altar of the Brood or Altar of Dementia? Both work

Edit: Brood. The other one wouldn't work with heartless out. That's also even faster of a win than using bitter ordeal. Effectively it's a turn two deck out for my opponent. That's...pretty damn fucked up. Adding it!!!

Ok so for now it's "done". I'm not sure what to do about the land base. I'm not splashing for anything so I feel I would be okay with mostly swamps. I am considering boseiju though since my key cards fall into it's ability

Knew I was missing a good one somewhere. Tossing in to look at it. Hoping my games don't run that long. Hoping to be able to combo off by turn 5 at the absolute latest. Current big worry is aggro since the deck starts off slow. Especially worried about Eldrazi aggro since this deck will make full use of us life to speed it along

Ok so there's only a few free slots left now that the near if the deck is finished. Now I'm liking at removal to add. I'm torn between using outright destroy and -x/-x stuff. I've thrown a few in the sideboard for thoughts

Edit: forgot I had dismember in the main. Considering dredge and noxious revival now. Also, spellskite is free in here, so I'm keeping it as a sideboard staple

I actually had memnite in here for a bit but then I swapped it for sire. With heartless and shadows out a single sire effectively gets me two free scry 1 vs 1 from memnite. I do like deaths shadow but it's not that I'm trying to make all my stuff die immediately. I feel he would shine best in a deck using phyrexian unlife and melira to hit zero life and not die.

So I came across shadows of the past. It proves to be an incredibly useful tool with the myr/summoning combo, allowing me to consistently dig did not only bitter ordeal but also my pact of negation. It's going in as a four of. Add in a set of street wraith and I can scry until I find what I need and then cycle wraith to draw it for two life

Same here if I can. I feel that this would hold up better in modern overall, and not having to splash other colors would be a good way to seriously cut on costs.

Hopefully I won't need to use the ironworks but I'll keep it in sideboard for the moment. As for search tools, it's going to depend on if this deck is going to be legacy or modern. I would like to keep it modern, but I have six copies of enlightened tutor that are tempting me greatly...

Ok so I had an idea after seeing a deck and a comment on it by Dedwards. It uses heartless summoning and myr retriever to chain into a bitter ordeal. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what to add. I'm dropping the link here so just leave any suggestion you have there. Thanks all!

I like it. Simple and to the point. I've only tried using sage once myself, in a competitive ish version of my gilder bairn deck that got so much love on here. Once I got a counter on sage I could double the fuck out of its counters as much as I wanted and just take my time in ending the game (ha! I made a time pun rofl)

As great of an include as that is (believe me, I know), that's three extra cards you're talking about adding here. What would he drop to make room for them, and how many of each of those three cards would he need to add to make it worth adding them at all?

If you had a way to consistently reanimate him, I would greatly suggest skullbriar. He's crazy good in counter builds

Sorry to correct your correction, but it says target. Singular. So it's only one permanent, not all of them.

Was confused when I saw tomb, but boseiju is bomb in here. Yeah I'm just surprised by death cloud is all. It can easily finish someone off if you sink enough mana into it I guess, which is easy in this build. Props though. Don't see many unique builds like this often

Tomb of urami seems like a bad choice for a deck like this, as does death cloud. You kinda DON'T want to kill your mana engines in tron
