Deck discussion for T2 Mono Green

looks good. I might be inclined to move the obstinate baloths into your main deck though. any thought on using fauna shaman, primevil titan or mitotic slime? I think those are my 3 fav m11 green cards. also, with garruk in there, isnt overrun a little bit of overkill? I like the deck though. like you said, it does what green does best.

Primevil Titan is way too over rated. WHy in the hell would i need more land if i just played him for 6? I hate that card with a passion. Grave Titan is so much better. Fauna Shaman is so sick-nasty, but the deck i made just didn't need her really. Mitoic Slime i can only see working with Bloodthrone Vampire or maybe Fallen Angel if you're old school.
BTW, i 'm not dissing you in any way, i just seriously hate Primevil Titan, it's total crap, yet people wanna drop tons of cash on it because some pro's used it.
It's great in Valakut deck though for sure and landfall based decks, but otherwise it's total garbage.

haha...fair enough. I think you are the first person I have talked to that said they hate primevil. I do agree that grave titan is better though.

I agree about the land thing. What about Realm Razer and Destructive Force?

looks good only suggestion i might make is to work in some Garruk's Companions, they're a 3/2 trample for just 2 green. Maybe trade them out for the scythe tigers?

Also, i think 4 Garruks maybe a little over kill so i suggest maybe using something like 2x Garruk and 4x Overwhelming Stampede. I would say replace the Overrun for the Stampede's because its the same mana cost and both give trample but Stampede gives +x/+x where x is the highest power of creature you control, and most of your creatures are over 3 power.

Anyway, these are simply suggestions and you may take them or leave them as you please. All in all a solid build with a lot of potential.

Gotta say, you're running a lot of land in this deck. 26 is way overkill for mono-green, especially with no mana acceleration. I'd trade out 6 of those mana for mana accel cards such as Cultivate and/or Rampant Growth. That way you get more mana out faster and you thin your deck in the process. This looks way too easy to get mana flooded and creature screwed.

Sac lands such as Marsh Flats and Verdant Catacombs also help a lot.

Also, just a guess, but I'm assuming you're metagaming against U/W Control?

Yeah, green pumps out creatures fast enough to dual RDW and Valakut
