Deck Description

Ok little background im new to the game i mean in comparison that most of the people i play with have played for like 10 years. so yeah i have played for 1 year pretty much and this is pretty much the deck i have been running most of that time. So this the deck i have been creating since Fate Reforged came out. The deck is almost completely out of Khans block cards so its rotation safe its only around 100$ to build and honestly i believe its very competitive, i mean it won't probably win the pro tour but for 100$ i dont think you should expect that. Now i know some things most people are thinking when looking at this list "Its temur where is the ramp" and there is a simple answer. It does not help that much when playing this deck, the point is curving 2 drop to 3 drop to 4 and so as i was testing i just wanted more value creatures instead of an Elvish Mystic. So lets go trough all the cards and why they are in here.

-CREATURES- (These things win games)

Frenzied Goblin this is a new add on to the deck as i was looking for a 1 drop to add in that can bring value even if its drawn late in the game and really the only card i found worthy of that is this one. It lets me get all my creatures trough pretty much any blockers there are. Now to be honest this creature isnt too essential to the deck and could easily be replaced by a lot of things.

Heir of the Wilds Now if you are playing green aggro you are playing this card its just pure value. Its pretty much always attacking for 3 damage with 19 creatures in the deck that enable ferocious. It blocks anything and nobody wants to block it i mean i dont know what else to say its just good.

Frost Walker Now here is a card you dont see enough of in my opinion. I mean 4 attack for 2 mana can you get better value anywhere? i mean probably... but YEAH! Honestly this creature has pretty great synergy with cards like Crater's Claws and Flamewake Phoenix I mean this is not as scary as an Ensouled Thopter on turn 2 but i dont know what is. The decks theme shows at this point. best value for the mana that is the point.

Savage Knuckleblade Now here is the main reason you are playin blue at all this card is just AMAZING seriously i just love it 3 mana for a 4/4 with a wall of abilities what's not to love. The ablity to give it haste, pump it and make it dodge removal is just more value and thats what the deck does i cast a creature for cheap that out values your more expensive creatures.

Flamewake Phoenix This card is the control players worst nightmare, "oh you killed it well ill just pay 1 red and get it back from the grave" i mean yeah i need ferocious with it but again 19 creatures for that.

Ashcloud Phoenix Now many people have asked me why i dont play Thunderbreak Regent as my 4 drop flier and the answer is simply i like creatures that are hard to remove and this just embodies that idea of hard to kill. It just wont die and against any deck that depends on removing creatures from the board this is just amazing.

Surrak, the Hunt Caller If only you weren't legendary. So yeah if this wasn't legendary it would be an instant 4 off but we cant really risk drawing multiples of a card we cant play. But this card is just amazing if it sticks to the board for a few turns it gains so much value for you. Its most likely coming in with haste and will be giving all our creatures haste if it sticks to the board.

Outland Colossus Now at this point you are probably just closing this tab and just saying this guy knows nothing BUT WAIT. Its just a big bumb guy i know but when you take this 5 mana 6/6 and pair it up with Temur Battlerage and Rogue's Passage it will most likely become a 12/12 for for 5 mana WHAT IS THIS INSANE VALUE I SEE. So yeah its just fun its big its bumb it works.

Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker Now all of you are thinking this guy is an idiot Sarkhan isn't a creature he is an amazing planeswalker dude bro. Yeah yeah i know that but not once have i used any other ability asides from his +1 which if you didn't know turns him into a 4/4 indestructible dragon with haste. Now Sarkhan could be swapped with Stormbreath dragon if you want to but i like Sarkhan as he is a touch harder to remove in my opinion. This is usually the finisher the one to take your opponent will to live away and make them weep as they take a beating from the mighty Dragonspeaker himself. So yeah that's all the creatures in the deck lets move on to the spells of the deck.

-SPELLS- (Uuuuu Magic and stuff)

Wild Slashi mean its a shock that makes that random fog deck that one kid is running useless. It also kills all one drops if you dont play a tapped land on turn one. In my opinion this is a lot better than lightning strike as i can play this at my opponent end step on turn one and then play my own 2 drop on to a clean board.

Crater's Claws The big finisher. Is there a better feeling when you cant attack trough your opponent super stacked board and he is just sitting there smiling with his 10 health thinking you can't do anything and then BOOM! you top deck this piece of awesomeness and just melt his face and happiness MUHAHAHAHAHAH. Sorry about that i got a bit exited but yeah card is amazing.

Temur Battlerage Probably the only card in the deck that has seen actual play in tier 1 decks and oh boy is it good to suprise your opponent when they chump block your Knuckleblade with a 1/1 and then you pump it and use this on it BOOM 11 damage from nowhere (True story i won a game like this) so i dont think there is much explaining here you give 2 of the most annoying keywords to a creature for 2 that's that.

-LANDS- (These help your play your things)Oh man its getting late im going to just go quickly about the lands. OK LETS DO THIS.

Forest + Mountain UNTAPPED MANA FOR NO DRAWBACK WUUHUUUU. More moutains becouse more double red.

Wooded Foothills I mean this one is pretty obvious fetches are the best and you have to run them its that simple they thin your deck and get you lands untapped.

Frontier Bivouac You play 3 colors that have a tri land for them you play that land and you play it turn one and don't worry about anything ever after that.

Shivan Reef + Yavimaya Coast Just the best lands for a deck like this i mean 1 life isn't a high price for curving well instead of playing tap lands. You don't really care about your life total all you care about is how fast you can play things and win games, these are the best lands for it and none of you realise how happy i was these were reprinted in origins.

Rogue's Passage You remember that big dumb giant from before, I'm not sure how he manages to get trough this little hole but he does and he does it well. This card is just a great late game when you need to push for damage we cant play more than 1 becouse of 3 colors but it does it's job just well alone.

-Sideboarding-So its seriously late and i need to sleep so im not going trough every card in detail but matchups.

-Control- You bring in Surrak Dragonclaw so that their counters can suck it. You also bring in Stubborn Denial so for once you will be the one to say no.

-Aggro- Even though i hate Anger of the Gods becouse it exiles my phoenixes its a must with mono red being as big as it is. Then you also have Feed the Clan to gain some of that life that was brutally taken for you back. Then if its a goblin heavy version you also bring in Barrage of Boulders

-Abzan/Sultai Good stuff- Against those Tasigurs and Siege Rhinos you have Roast a card that was pretty much printed to kill those cards. You also have Barrage of Boulders and Icy Blastto get though all those creatures and hit them hard]]

-Artifact and Enchatment Strategies]] I think we are lacking on this side as we only have Reclamation Sage for this Match up-Heroic- I know its slowly dying but we have no way of dealing with a 12/12 unblockable guy in our main deck so an instant remove anything in Reality Shift is pretty nice.

Thank you for listening though all my ramblings and reading this to the end if you did. Tell me what you think in the comment below.
