Deck Description

A Modern twist on Valley of the Dolls. By exchanging black with red, we can make a working stuffy doll based deck, that focuses on damaging your dolls in order to damage others. Remember kids, this is gonna hurt me a lot more than it's going to hurt you...

How to Play

Your first and foremost goal is to get your stuffy dolls out. Unfortunately, using red and white, we don't have the option of playing Diabolic tutor. However, we can play browbeat instead to either force our opponent to take damage, or draw our much needed cards ourselves. Pariah and Pariah's shield should be equipped to stuffy doll (preferably) or Darksteel myr (if necessary) to prevent our opponents from hitting us. Having replaced Pestilence with it's red (and modern legal) brother Pyrohemia, we can use it at will without damaging ourselves if we used the pariah cards on the appropriate creatures. If you have it on stuffy doll, Pyrohemia will deal TRIPLE damage to your opponent while leaving you and your creatures unscathed.

But why simply tick someone to death when we have Shivan Meteor? Shivan meteor does 13 damage to target creature. But we want to do 13 damage to our opponent! You're not dumb. You know exactly how we're going to do this. By hitting our own stuffy doll with the meteor, we can do that damage directly. If you want to cast it for it's suspend cost (1RR) you can but make sure to do it with time to put out stuffy doll. Once that second time counter is removed, it's cast so make sure Stuffy doll is already out.

Use frantic salvage to bring back your artifacts should they get countered, and act of treason is a great way to turn terrifying creatures against your opponents should they attempt to ruin your day (even allowing you to equip Pariah's shield on them!) This is a heavy damage, defensive deck that allows you to kill your opponent without ever needing to partake in a combat phase. Just make sure to survive the first few turns.
