Deck Description

deck based around making the most out of your defenders!
axebane guardian and overgrown battlement get you a stupid amount of mana. it is very easy to cast colossus of akros and sometimes even possible to hard cast him AND monstrous him in the same turn. this deck has the honor of being called "stupid" by my fiance and being banned by her in one on one duels :P high praise :D

How to Play

possible win 1.use the axebane and overgrouwn battlement to get out colossus of akros as fast as possible .

possible win 2. use axe bane to pump up your dragon eggs token

possible win 3. use vent sentinel to do lots of damage!

possible win 4. use wakestone to give rage nimbus and guardian of the ages the ability to attack

Deck discussion for defender

A great combo with wakestone gargoyle is doran, the siege tower

This deck doesn't need that and I'd need to splash a fourth color. This deck works awesomely

oh, didnt see the colours sorry. whenever i see a defender deck, i just feel like i have to tell them about doran. also, how effective is this deck? its really cheap, and i would be interested to see how this would go against tournament decks.

its actually pretty freaking effective. i get the colossus almost every game and i rarely lose creatures until late game ( defenders being much more cost efficient) esspecially with it being so cheap i highly recommend it. LOTS of fun to play to becasue you know how bad its about to be and you know you opponent hasa no idea lol. alos since everything is either 3 or 4 of it is pretty consistant as well

one thing: are you sure about 20 land? i would add 2 just to be sure you will draw enough into the ramping defenders.

20 is almost too much.... one or two overgrown battlements or axe bane guardians and you are off. i have regularly have turns where i put out 2-3 creatures and dont tap a single mana. ive hard cast the colossus of akros and monstroused him on the same turn on multiple occasions. i also typically try to play with the least amount of mana possible and unless im playing a deck with a lot of big creatures i can normally get away with about 20

i am actually retracting the above for a week or too.... i had been playing with 5 extra land and missing all of my perimeter captains.... and somehow didnt notice lol . when those cards arrive i will play a few games and let you know how the mana worked out

Very similar to mine. But different enough to be unique. :)
Very well done.

Swiftfoot Boots for making your Colossus hexproof? Attacking with a 10/10 as soon as he comes out, rocks too.

As with almost every deck on this site, especially if they are running green or white, I recommend (in your main deck, not sideboarded) Disenchant or Naturalize.

Looks fun!
