Deck Description

I am trying to build a deck than makes X cost direct damage relevant. best way i could think is to use llanowar like mana acceleration and then a bunch of burn spells (with things like fire servant and increasing vengeance and mana flare used to double up on damage)

the side board is cards i am still thinking on that i might switch in for something else. any suggestions are welcome!

How to Play

get out your mana acceleration elves ant then use them to do large amounts of X damage

Deck discussion for Forest Fire (HELP)

Maybe Tinder Wall for some early protection /extra ramp, and Upwelling to store mana if no x-spell is in hand. Your x sorceries seems a little overkill with double duty from Devil's Play - maybe another Increasing Vengance or Fork/ Reverberate effect. Sideboard needs enchantment/artifact removal if your opponent makes himself untargetable, and Sulfuric Vortex against lifegain. Defense GRid and Ensnaring Bridge could also be useful sideboard selections. Mana Reflection and Curse seem like win-more cards where early defense seems to be your weak point. And of course you need dual lands over Guildgates, but you already know that I'm sure. Burn away.

Tinder wall is a pretty good idea. upwelling could be very helpful.... though i might religate it to sideboard. having too many X spells was a worry of mine, was hoping to get some input one way or another. ill probably cut at least one of them for tinder wall (or another defender possibly)
would naturalize work for enchantment /artifact removal?
not super worried about lifegain since ill be doing so much damage i figure at most they might be able to get themself one more turn.
defense grid seems to be counter to my strategy and ensnaring bridge could work though im not sure how effective it might be since i plan on not having a huge hand and dont have any card draw.
i thought that mana reflection and the curse might have been overkill, was more trying to figure out if they were better that their counterparts that are already in the deck ( mana flare and fire servant)

i didnt include better dual lands becasue im trying to keep the price down. if i eventually get the deck ill probably add in better hybrid land down the line.

thanks for the input

decided to go with the timber wall and axebane guardian, figuring that the axe bane can give me a constant red mana and gives me a 3 drop ( most from what ive been looking at i probably am not going to start "fireballing" until around turn 4-5) and the timber wall can give me a temporary mana fix and is a good one drop defender.
instead of adding in more fork like cards i replaced the devils play with fog as another delay tactic. might change that from 4 to 3 and add in one more fork like card but it depends on how the test card draws go.

Deck looks better in the early game. naturalize will work fine in the sideboard. I thought about Steel Helkite as another option for your deck to kill plainswalkers,or pump to kill range.
