Deck Description

A casual ping deck. basically your creatures are there to burn your opponent. can start off a bit slow but very quickly things get out of control and you are doing alot of damage a turn.

How to Play

get out something with the ping ability as quickly as possible (hopefully razorfin hunter or goblin fireslinger) then keep dropping prodigal like cards. you should be able to kill any creatures they can get out pretty easily (whipkeeper can be very helpful destroying their bigger creatures. )
once you clear the board you can attack with any creatures that are bigger that a 1/1 ( your Mawcor's, Kamahl, Jeska, Niv-Mizzet or brimstone mage (if he is not completely powered up)

only real weakness is spread out direct damage or creature destruction (hence the counterspells)

zhur taa and thoctar id have to splash a third color and not willing to do that.

izzet staticaster cost both a blue and a red and only targets creatures yes it has haste but i already have one that has haste that can also target players if need be

goblin sharp shooter is a possiblilty but the amount of time that a player has multiple creatures out is normally pretty small (im assuming that that is the use you are suggesting. having him basically do the last damage to multiple creature and untap after each kill) normally this deck (i have a version that is close to this) is pretty good at dealing with creature threats. this leaves him tapped until another creature comes out and basically useless against a player. it is worth thinking about though

trying to stay away from abilities that cost mana. already explained why not to izzet, and stuffy doll is just an expensive, player only prodigal sorcer in this deck (i know there are combos with him but then it would be a stuffy doll deck and not a prodical sorcerer deck

THe best card you are not playing is Powerstone Minefield. The 2 damage it does to all attackers lets a pinger trade with a four toughness attacker. The Flagbearer mechanic (a white ability) from Invasion block can also help you protect key creatures. Put it on a large wall. This type of deck can be very good in casual and even win its share of games against tournament quality decks , but to do so it has to be 3 color - red/white/blue. Squee's Embrace is another useful card. Freed from the Reel works well with Goblin Medics if you are actually using that card.
