Deck discussion for [EDH] The Infectious

I ran Vela infect for awhile. The biggest problem was she was really hard to play multiple times if she got killed, and if she wasn't in play it was hard to get your fragile creatures through. My deck lived and died by having alternate ways to make stuff unblockable.

Things that do it that are within your budget: Dauthi Embrace, Trailblazer's Boots, Prowler's Helm & Levitation. And while I wouldn't normally recommend an aura since it sets you up for a 2-for-1, Protective Bubble is pretty solid since it gives shroud, too.

Thank you for your recommendations! What do you suggest I remove from the deck in place of them?

You could get down to 26 creatures pretty easily and not notice. Spined Thopter and Vault Skirge maybe? If you haven't played this deck much maybe do some test dummy hands with another deck of yours and see how Phyrexian Vatmother works. I found it absolutely did more damage to me than other people. I can think of at least one game where it straight-up killed me and didn't kill anyone else. Maybe you'll find it to be worth it, but I'd also consider pulling that one.

In a two color deck I'd be okay running just 37 lands, too, so you could free a slot there.

I'd also swap Turn Aside for old-school Counterspell. It's under a buck and the flexibility is tough to pass up.

If you're looking to add a few more duals for budget try manabasecrafter. com to get a full list of all lands for your color combination. There's a handful of sub-dollar ones (Rootwater Depths, Waterveil Cavern, Jwar Isle Refuge, Salt Marsh off the top of my head) that can diversify your land base cheaply. The land batteries like Subterranean Hangar also work well with proliferate effects. I don't think I'd run the Fallen Emprires ones because they're worse than the Masques lands and four is too many, but in my deck I ran both the blue and black Masque land batteries to decent success.
