Deck Description

A budget defender deck.

How to Play

Make infinite mana with an Galvanic Alchemist-Axebane Guardian combo and use Increasing Confusion to mill your opponent out or use Devil's Play to burn them out and. If you don't have the infinite mana combo then you can always flashback either card for a large mill or burn. Psychic Spiral and Elixir is for anti mill and Devil's play is for anti self-mill.

Deck discussion for Defender Doom

i may be wrong, but biomass mutation just means that they become x/x. they retain their defender ability and cannot attack to win except ludevics test subject

Yeah why is biomass mutation in here?

I'm wondering about that because of the wording but it does make sense they wouldn't loose defender.

i just think it would be a listed function of the spell like snakeform or something

it works, except, there's really only two win conditions, otherwise, you're just stuck with a lot of mana, and nothing to do with it, might I suggest adding red and throwing in a "dragonshift" and wait for overload, to add another win condition, and possibly "primordial Hydra" if it's not too expensive.. or other ways of using that mana, such as: "Sands of Delirium" to help with that milling win condition.

Increasing Confusion is a fairly solid win condition in a deck like this.
also add 3 Galvanic Alchemist. yeah yeah, they arent defenders, I know. soulbond it with Axebane Guardian, though and get 4 defenders out on the board, and youve got you an infinite mana combo

The Galvanic Alchemist really goes under the radar! If this was non-standard I would say to add Sands of Delirium and Overgrown Battlement. For how it is though, it really just needs counters.

I feel Overgrown Battlement would be a great addition to this deck. Also what counters do you suggest I add? I don't want anything I add to slow down the speed of the deck. Also Increasing Confusion does have flashback which is one of the main reasons I use it.

Well... cards that require mana costs, or have high mana cost (Since you may generate infinite mana) include Syncopate, Mindstatic, Scatterarc/Bone to Ash, or Mystic Genesis. In terms of normal counters, Negate, Dispel, and Mana Leak work just fine. If you are going for pre-standard or just casual, I can suggest many great ones.

I mostly play casual so hit me.

Spell Pierce, Avoid Fate, Counterbore, Daze, Mental Misstep, Counterspell, Cryptic Command, Disrupt, Stifle, and that's all I can think of

I think I'll put Negate in, my main threats won't be creatures but rather creature removal.
