Deck Description

Serra wanted to hit the hot springs and she left Radiant in charge. Not being able to visit the earth in her true form she utilized an Avatar. The hot springs was vitalizing and fun...but alas, darn Selesnyians dont believe in chemically clean water.....now Serras got a a infection...bummer.

How to Play

So simple it hurts. Just toss out gyre or somber....next toss out Serra, then cast fungal. That should be enough to win the game the following turn, if not play cratorhoof and boom all creatures get 21+/+21 and trample! Rawr!!! Serra is pissed!!! But can you blame her? UT infections suck!

Deck discussion for Serra's Fungal Infection

The fact that both of the key cards are both in the same set is staggering! So talk about crazy life gaining thats STANDARD legal, how about 20 1/1s and then you cast Well. Boom 42-50 Life for one plains mana. But Serra Avatars expensive she costs 7! Well... theres tons of chump blockers 4 Alives, 2 Wolfirs, and 4 Loxodons....Well what if they try to kill her with a 2 mana kill spell? Um....Sheltering word, Duh =D.
They countered my fungal sprout!... Ok plan two, Rancor Serra and Slaughter. There is so much you can do here! Please comment, give me ideas for sideboard stuff =D

Actually looks like a pretty fun deck!

Kind of thinking about Oblivion Ring, Rest in Peace, etc for sideboard. the standard stuff. Also 15 cards, not 17, lol.

Thank you! Yeah I dont actually have a sideboard for it yet. This deck hasnt lost a match yet out of 7 games I've played against other standard decks. Its intense... Even the worse red in your face boros decks...They will get me down to 7-12 life and then I just drop serra and either use 1-2 sheltering word to get me to 36 life or drop fungal to get 12 1/1's and then play well for a hefty 24 life to get me also to 36 =x.. Nothing gets you pumped like having at least 15 saprolings and then dropping craterhoof to make them all 16/16's with trample.

i personally think this is a great well put together deck that could be very effective and useful in battles. i have on suggestion though and that is you could maybe put a few more instants and/or sorceries and maybe take out one planeswalker

I wholeheartedly agree, I am still tweaking it to perfection, if you find any lowcost instants or sorc's, I would be more then happy to try them out and even if I have to bump a plainswalker to sideboard to fill that need. Thanks!!

i dont know of any instant or sorcery cards but you may want to put guardian of the gateless in your deck he is a creature and a somewhat powerful one

personally its not a horrible deck looks like some fun can be had. i suggest ditching the token idea for more of a life gain/mana ramp style and just kill with the avatar. heck u could use elderscale wurm as a back up win if need be. him plus just one rancor is deadly, all four???? now that is just brutal.. u would also be able to have some stall ability with cards such as fog. just some thoughts.

hehe naw, thats the whole reason I made the deck, to have a standard legal big monster avatar that would live JUST long enough to get me 20-60 1/1s for a mere 4 mana on turn 7-8. Killing them by turn by turn 9. Also I need them, the tokens with the life for one many makes serra HUGE. I've gotten her to an 82/80 with trample swinging! Basically a B.F.M from unglued =p
