Have you considered something like Exsanguinate? You could easily pump mana into it. Even if you don't kill instantly, the life gain advantage will allow you plenty of time to build up for your next spell.
IF I started (opening hand) with the Urza set and two Baubles/Swamps the soonest I could cast Exsanguinate is turn 4 which would be NICE except more often than not I'd be casting it turn 7 MAYBE turn 6.The life drain is CHOICE but the BB cost puts it a turn too far. So I will leave it my sideboard until I can figure what to drop for it.
You shouldn't be rushed to cast Exsanguinate; the "best" way to play it would be as a finisher. You would check what you can cast it for vs their life total each turn, until it wins.
I get that but what do I drop for it?
