Deck Description

Combing infect and control without using the more classic infect colors. I'm hoping the presence of blue allows me to deceitfully steal an early win without having to show my more powerful late game additions. That's sort of blue's whole theme, right? Deception?

Testing without access to an actual sideboard has been decent so far. The deck isn't a world-beater, but definitely holds its own in most matchups.

Some things about this deck I like that's been useful:

- Plague Myrs have really helped ramp up the possibility of getting an earlier Quicksilver Gargantuan. However, I do notice they tend to come into play with giant bullseyes on them.

- Stoic Rebuttals and Turn Asides are life savers thanks to my reliance on artifacts.

Still, the deck seems a little incomplete. I've been debating back and forth about adding some more proliferate cards (Clasps, Steady Progress, Fuel for the Cause), or whether or not it may make sense to tone down the artifact reliance and possibly splash another color. I really like the idea of a mono-blue infect deck, mainly because it seems very unexpected (which, is very blue-like)

Any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

Deck discussion for Controlled Infection

corpse cur might be useful but costs four. honestly its about all i can come up with, but after the first round your opponent is gonna know what your deck does, and then you kinda lose the element of surprise, maybe a sideboard that splashes black in?

That's definitely the concern I had. Once The first game goes by and my opponent can brace for infect, I lack a little speed if my counters don't come plentiful and often. The lion's share of the losses I took were after a first game win.

id definitely try and put in a sideboard that changes your win condition up a little bit, or at least how you achieve it. only thing i can think of is to add in black or green pumps like vamp bite or giant growth. its either that or rely on corrupted conscience to help even things out
