Deck Description

THIS DECK DEALT 15,000+ DAMAGE IN ONE TURN! I PROMISE! (it was crazy, and I made the people I was playing with wait and do the math with me :) It was beautiful!)

my beautiful elf deck ^_^ it's my baby, and I absolutely adore it :) please let me know what you think :D

It revolves around getting little baby elfie tokens out on the field, and makes them all big and bright and shiny and new ^_^ (then I overrun with Ezuri a bunch and win)

Deck discussion for Rhys, Ezuri, and Nissa OH MY!

i made a deck just like this, but the people i play against will never play me when i use the deck...
probably because i get 1000 tokens on turn 6.

yeah haha they hate when I play it. All of my decks are kinda like this, where its like nothing really exciting happens for a few turns, (which is nice in multiplayer where they don't know your deck, so you dont seem like a threat) and then BAM! wall of unstoppable goodness ^_^

Coat of Arms tends to give me more trouble than its worth, since its ALL creatures on the battlefield, not just mine. if it were just mine, I'd be all for it. But I sideboarded it so that when I'm playing against a less tribal deck, I can through it in

That's only a small downside, but since you'll have more of a creature advantage, they'll be bigger than your opponent's

Since you have CoA sideboarded, Devoted Druid + Presence of Gond will give you infinite infinity/infinity elves with CoA. If you don't like going that route, you can still make hundreds of tokens with DD+ PoG and Immaculate Magistrate, along with some untaps and doubling season..it gets ridiculous. Also, Immaculate Magistrate + Joraga Warcaller makes your elves NUTS.

devoted druid is very nice, especially with coat of arms yay infinity!! but I think I would make a whole other deck around that idea instead of adding it into this one. and yes, I have finally opened my eyes and have finally accepted joraga into my clan lol and yes, coat of arms i have in sideboards for against decks that I KNOW It will help me more than hinder me. But door of destinies looks very nice to me and it is now in there lol.

Here is what I did with Devo Druid and PoG :) I already had an infinite mana deck going on with dragons, so I figured I would try and combo the two! lol let me know what you think?

What about Door of Destinies? That way you wont have to worry about opponents Tribals? I always have doors in my Tribal Decks. I own about 30-40 of them, lol.

oh man i love elf token decks! I would say though, since youll be hitting with 87234897 tokens ANYWAYS, you should replace the 2 taunting elfs w/ 2x Joraga Warcaller for added fun and beefiness;)

check out my elf token deck that i love so much and leave a comment/suggestion if you want;)

you know, I always stayed away from joraga because he would be useful only once I got out some mana stuff, but really, this deck is built around that, so I honestly have no idea why I didn't think to finally put him in here :) I like it, and I think I will take out taunting elf for him :) thanks :D and I will definitely check out your deck :)

There are so many elf decks that can make infinite damage sooner than this deck... I see nothing special about this one.

the trick is ****ing on someone w/o the infinite combo:)

0

But that's the point! You need only 20 damage to win, why focus on 15,000 damage?

Its a solid deck design and looks fun, but everyone in my group who has a serious deck they play with sideboards a board-sweep card for things like this, but it looks fun to play against!

0

the people I play with aren't really that serious about it. We are just a casual group, and we only really play amongst ourselves. Thankfully, only a few of their decks have stuff like that (really only a couple have elesh norn haha) but thanks it is really fun to play just in general! :)

take out a few cards (possibly the contagion engines) for wellwishers.
also sideboard some elvish champions just in case you go up against a green deck and you want to be completely unblockable :)

0

well, i had wellwishers in here and actually took them out for contagion engine :P I did that, because of door of destinies and joraga warcaller :) if contagion engine doesn't seem to be working (I am going to play test it this weekend hopefully) then I will definitely be putting back in my wellwishers :)

You could run an even balance of Verdant Catacombs/Misty Rainforest to your forests to thin your deck faster. With the ramp you have in this deck, try adding a Genesis wave. Half your library in play on turn 4 is always fun. You could also sideboard Asceticism, and Drove of Elves over Heedles one in the event that you're playing against removal heavy decks.

0
Posted 05 August 2011 at 20:51

mmm that would be a good idea. and I have thought about genesis wave, but have always decided against it. It is pretty nice, especially with this low cost deck, but eh. and yeah, I might sideboard drove of elves for heedless one, but I really like her trample ;) and my sideboard is filled atm, and with the decks I play against, (my boyfriend likes his white decks with journeys and oblivion rings and fliers, and my other friend loves eldrazi) I might take coat of arms out of the sideboard for asceticism. Thanks :)

I dont think this deck could do the amount of damage ur saying. a good removal deck would be good against it. I see this deck working very well though.

0

lol I swear on my life it did that much damage. It was crazy :) and I know it seems unbelievable, but it's true! I had over 100 elves on the field, and tapped elvish archdruid for 100+ mana for Ezuri's overrun ability, and then untapped elvish archdruid to do it again :) (I don't exactly remember what was on the field, but there were retarded amounts of baby elflings that had lots of +'s :) )

It happened, 1v1 I generally beat this deck, but in multiplayer it really shines

0

I'd also drop Nissa's Chosen for two copies of Priest of Titania for a larger ramp. Nissa is only really useful for gaining life and her big ability(provided you can keep her alive that long[good luck]). Seeker of Skybreak is a better choice than Quirion Ranger if you ask me.

0
Posted 05 August 2011 at 20:56

ooh nice I never saw her :) I do like her lol. and I was thinking about Priest, but I really REALLY love my Nissa. I just don't think I would be able to play this deck without her (just personal preference) I tend to make decks I enjoy rather than ones that are just really good. And originally, I was only running 1 nissa's chosen just so I could get that extra blocker if needed. And I have gotten Nissa's big ability out between 5-10 times (I really don't remember lol) and she has always been the basis of this deck (I have changed it so many times you wouldn't believe it!) but yes, I will definitely trade quirion in for seeker :) thanks :D

quirion ranger I found is really good with elves such as immaculate magistrate and elvish archdruid. I love elves and have a lot of fun with my Ezuri EDH deck.

I would question your use of contagion engine, it seems to slow for the deck... I would put it in the sideboard at most. Mybe replace it with beast within for removal...

This deck is very fast. If I throw down a llanowar elf t1, then elvish archdruid t2 and some other smaller elves and a Gaea's cradle, I could play it turn 3 lol not slow at all but I am going to play test it and see if it works. If it seems that it is going too slowly, I am going to take them out for wellwishers
