Deck Description

As the name suggests, this deck was inspired by mythic rare Godsend. As such it is mostly a defensive deck designed to keep your life intact while the Godsend renders your opponent's deck very limited. Then, slowly but surely, your offense kicks in to finish the job. The deck is a bit large, but I feel it works nonetheless. You might want one more land to ensure that you get enough in your starting hand, but that makes 65 cards so decide for yourself.

How to Play

The best beginning is to have the Yoked Oxes come out first. But any of the little creatures will do as you can use Crypsis or Triton Tactics to help them withstand attacks. Phalanx Leader allows you to build up the strength of your creatures each time you target it with your instants or Aqueous Form. Hopefully your Godsend shows up soon as it will quickly make it very uncomfortable for your opponent to attack or defend against you. But if doesn't Brave the Sands finalizes your defensive position while opening up your offense by allowing you to attack with out tapping. This is where your fliers and unblockables come in handy. Hopefully by this point, the Dawnbringer Charioteers are out as this is your best overall creature. A Hundred-Hand-One then comes in to make your defense nearly impenetrable. Acolyte's Reward provides a sneaky way to take shots at your opponent, while Taigam's Scheming makes it that much easier to get what you need when you need it. The Whelming Wave is simply an emergency fail-safe that can be taken out if it proves to be unnecessary.
