Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Blood artist= win condition paired with some clones and mutilate. diregraf cap. in there for a good clone target. This is post m13 standard and I'm building on a budget so any suggestions would be helpful.

I still haven't bought the cards for this deck and I know that this isn't the best decklist, but I'm not sure what to do.

Here is another deck I am considering. Check it out and tell me which deck seems more effective/ fun to play!

Deck discussion for homicidal U/B clone control.

Have you thought of adding Falkenrath Noble? He has basically the same ability as Blood Artist but is a 2/2 flyer in addition. Yes a 3B casting cost is high, but it might help speed things up. Also, Diregraf Captain's ability only triggers if another zombie you control dies. I don't see any other zombies for it to trigger. Swap Falkenrath Noble for the Captain maybe?

I think I will try to play test that, but for now I'm sticking to the captains.

I see rewinds, but I don't see any mana leaks? I honestly like everything else in the deck, and since you said post M13 and I'm assuming you want to keep it standard for RtR block, then you'll just have to wait for the dual lands in RtR block to add to the current Drowned Catacomb, otherwise I would tell you to get darkslick shores.

I really don't entirely know where I'm going with this deck. It will either end up aggressive with a slight bit of control or just aggressive control like it is now. All I know for now is it is indeed post rotation.

ugh... Did some sample hands, definitely doesn't seem effective enough. Not enough shenanigans to hold opponent at bay.... Anybody got any suggestions?

hmm i like what ur tryin to do here. but the fable and captain dont really seem to fit here to me. i think some draw power, even a couple of divination, and maybe some counter spells could help. being post rotation its hard to make suggestions. hmm u know that new rat with deathtouch could be fun here. he is a nice 1 drop and fits ur theme here.

I see a dilemma between Blood artist and Diregraf captain, you would get the most out of diregraf having more zombies. Now u got shapeshifters that u can turn into zombies..but I would still try to stick to either making the most out of Blood artist and his skill or Diregraf captain.

A few suggestions if you're not worried about the budget;

+ Geralfs messenger inexchange of either Cackling counterpart or Clone.
+ Gravecrawlers
+ Tokens (Vile Rebirth, Moan of the unhallowed)
+ Then you'd need a sack engine to trigger all the abilites and make them combo. I suggest either Bloodflow connoisseur or Mortarpod.

Example;

T1; Swamp + Gravecrawler
T2; Swamp + Bloodartist
T3; Swamp/island + Bloodflow connoisseur/
T4; Swamp/island + Geralf's messenger + Bonesplinters/Tragicslip if needed or play Gravecrawler back and sack him again. Geralf enters the field opponent loses 2 life, Sac Geralf's messenger/undying triggers - oppnent loses 2 life again.Sac Gravecrawler twice as u play it back with 1 remaining swamp, Blood Artist triggers during this, u gain 3 life, opponent loses additional 3.

So That's possible 3 or 4 life for you depending on if u play instant or Gravecrawler back0, Bloodflow C 3/3 or 4/4 if u sacked Gravegrawler twice, opponent loses 7 life. This happens before combat phase.

These would drastic changes to your deck and the original clone idea, but if u took out a few clones and mutilate (which I honestly think u dont need), u could easily make room for the cards.

If u are not in a hurry, check out my standard deck also, and looking for more constructive feedback.

This isn't a zombie deck, it is a deck based on using control to aid your clones, which will basically wreck your opponent if you make the right decisions. But yeah, I am building on a budget and geralfs messenger would cause to many mana troubles. But I could turn all the clones into zombies, making it sort of a zombie deck. The thing I think makes it weak is that doing the mutilate combo would take till turn 7 or so, and I don't know if I would survive till then or the combo would come together.

But the deck you are describing isn't what I'm looking for. I'm trying to create U/B control with clones to back it up. Not mono black splash blue with expensive lands that will be rotating soon and such is not what I'm looking for, especially on a budget.

If u wanna keep bouncing Geralf's back and forth, then add a couple of Hex parasites for maximun undying!
