What do you listen to?

I have a few songs/artists/genres I listen to while building various decks, and was just wondering what other people around here listen to :D

I'll start off. This is what I was listening to when I made "I am become Death", and this is what I was listening to when I made "Chiaroscuro"

Nice pick of songs! Nice name for that deck too man, I'm a painter myself and I sure like the reference.

I tend to listen to Miss May I - Relentless Chaos, or Suicide Silence - Bludgeoned to Death for when i want to build aggro type decks. Other than that, i most always listen to Dance Gavin Dance - Lemon meringue tie.

Typically, I listen to some good, solid classic rock music, themed on whatever I'm building. ELO usually ends up being the music for control decks ("Turn to Stone", "Evil Woman" is there's a Liliana involved).

My newer infect decks, oddly, makes me want to listen to Gogol Bordello that much more, especially "Transcontinental Hustle" and "Rebellious Love".

If I'm in a blue-deck mood, it boils down to trance and new age, particularly Enigma (LSD still being my favorite album besides A Posteriori) or Dead Can Dance/ Loreena McKennitt ("Silence Must Be Heard", "The Highwayman", "Mummer's Dance", "Cantara", to name a few.).

Aggro decks are an entirely different story, that's when the claws come out. Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch... You know, the good stuff that makes you bare your teeth in an insane, bloodflecked grin ("Bulletproof", "The Animal").

Funny enough, when I get that urge to elf it all out, for some reason Blind Guardian makes its presence known (Can't be "The Eldar" or "Nightfall", could it?).

Each color accordingly has its own theme with me, honestly, and often reflects my moods, as music is wont to do.

Totally get what you mean man. Whenever dealing with Orzhov, I can't help but listen to classical scores. The way that Kyrie des Magdalene sounds is exactly how Chiaroscuro plays :D

Depending on the mood I'm in.

If I'm playing/making something very combo-oriented and logical, I tend to spin regimented, orderly music like Front 242, Godflesh, Slab!, LeƦther Strip, and the like. All the better to focus my derangements unto cards.

If it's something wonderfully freeform and asinine like I usually do, I tend to spin a lot of Whitehouse, Merzbow, and Wolf Eyes.

The need to feel outweighs the need to hear.

(My latest deck was composed almost exclusively listening to Bigod 20's "The Bog.")

I tend to listen to "Night Core" remixes of songs or Techno Trance / Rave music.

It's stuck with me since my days of playing OSU (the game)
