Is 65 cards too much for a deck?

I'm rather new to the game, but luckily my older brother who has been playing since the 90's has been giving me lots of help. He always tells me it is best to have 60 cards max to keep the deck flowing good, but is 65 really going to affect it that much?

Here's a list of the cards in my deck(it started off as a Goblin/Burn mixture deck but have since added a few more).

Would you recommend removing/adding anything to make the deck better?

say you want a specific card on turn one as often as possible, and you have a set of 4 in your deck, the probability of drawing that card is approximately 6.66....% with 60 cards in the deck

now assuming you want the same card, turn 1, as often as possible still with 4 in the deck with 65 cards this time.. you now have a 6.15...% chance of drawing the card.

Mind you, none of that takes into account your initial hand, that's simply assuming you are drawing one card at a time AND it's assuming you are not using any fetches or anything of the sort

This does not seem like much right here but let's make a spreadsheet seeing your chances of how soon you will get the card you want and let's take into account your first hand.. (assuming other cards were drawn first and you did not get the card in your first hand)

Cards: 60 65
Turn:
1 7.547169811 6.896551724
2 7.692307692 7.01754386
3 7.843137255 7.142857143
4 8 7.272727273
5 8.163265306 7.407407407
6 8.333333333 7.547169811
7 8.510638298 7.692307692
8 8.695652174 7.843137255
9 8.888888889 8
10 9.090909091 8.163265306

As you can see, with only 60 cards you are 5 turns ahead of the you that has 65 cards.

it also helps when you play many games, that extra half a percent could mean win or lose the game.

Also this is assuming you only want this ONE card, when in your opening hand there are actually several you want.
